cxm22 is the same as clu048 in dimension they are both "35mm holders"
So you have 1818s in 3000k 90cri but arent selling them? How about 1818 2700k 90cri gen6 then? Are the cxm from the same company or something? Trying to understand why you dont offer both... cxm are 80cri right?

no i do not have them

How about 1818 2700k 90cri gen6 then?
wont be ordering anymore until i sell the 2700k 90 cri gen 5s i have. i still have 23 of the 30 i ordered last summer

Are the cxm from the same company or something?
cxm are from luminus and are similar in voltage and flux, but substantially cheaper

Trying to understand why you dont offer both...
if i had 2 chips that did the same thing and one was $17 and one was $24, which would you buy?

cxm are 80cri right?
i have 3000k 80 in stock and 3000k 90 and 3500k 80/90 on the way

i have a tray each of the following in 1818:
3000k 80 and 90 (just landed not up on site yet)
4000k 80 and 90

Was this false info you posted a few days ago? You also told me in PM there were 90cri 3000k 1818s arriving bout the same time you posted above comments. Im still confused...

oh my bad- youre right....i forgot

i wasnt planning on stocking them but luminus pushed back delivery on their order so i got citi to cough up 30 of each to hold us over. but they will be the last i order probably

I must say, fast shipping from cobkits. I just gotta figure out how to make a frame and start mounting stuff together

Going to get some Aluminum Right angle pieces at Home Depot. What size Drill and Screws do you use to tap and drill to hold it together?
standard 1/8th inch drill bit and 6-32 nut/washer will do the job. you can also use 8-32 with bigger drill...

this video covers drilling around 6 min mark:

Great video on how to make the frame.

I have 2 drivers, anyway to hook up a single potentiometer to control both drivers at the same time and a single 3 prong outlet so that the whole unit acts as a single light? Would be nice to have 1 plug and 1 cord.

I will take many pictures when I get started to help out future noobs :)

@CobKits Please update once you have those citi1818 cobs posted on the site. Its your business, but Im not sure only offering CXM's is the best idea. People maybe just want citi cobs and theres a good chance you will loose some business by not offering both. Kinda like the ford/chevy thing, some people just prefer a brand they are familiar with, or have read or learned about somewhere else. I assume you are making a profit on everything you offer, so what is to lose? Based upon your posted reasoning, CXMs are similar to citi but cheaper, you might as well quit carrying cree all together! :P

It's a lot easier to stock one part, especially when you have to order minimum order quantities.

You stock parts that you guarantee you can sell, or if you know they won't become obsolete. COBs are constantly changing. More risk.

I dunno, if you can order trays of 30, I dont see a huge risk, worst case scenario, you discount them and dont make a profit... Id buy old cobs at a discount. Seems business must be good, a lot of parts are currently out of stock on the website.

If there is enough demand for old cobs, I'm sure it'll happen. I myself wouldn't ever consider something already considered obsolete.
I'm looking for efficiency to save in the long term. I waited weeks for the CXM22 to be in stock over the Citi cobs. They're cheaper and work just as well. Not everybody is like me though.

It's not like he's making a ton of these COBs too. As busy as he is filling orders, I'm sure it's just not worth selling parts at a discount to break even. Just my take.

It is my first run since I switched to cob.
I got 12 1818 gen 5 driven by 3 hlg-185h-54.
550watt from the wall.
It should be more than 800 ppfd over a 4x4 tent...But result are really not so great. Did I made some mistake with calculation and projecting or is just a bad pheno ?

No where near enough info.

Did you move that new setup in and crank it up? If the plants were not used to tat kind of light it would stress them I would guess.
