i get messages like that once in awhile when sending from another domain/host i use. its the spam filter doing its job usually because the sending server has "bad actors" on the same IP range

usually if you shorten/reword it it passes the spam filter. i typically just send from my gmail acct instead when that happens

that's called price fixing..... and the lighting industry gets away with it because no one gives a shit what they do, it wouldn't make much of a news headline to prosecute them..........

ive looked just about everywhere. even direct from china after shipping and everything most places are within a few bucks of each other unless youre ordering a whole lot of them and picking up at the port. the only reason to go outside the box and order from a non sponsor is if they just dont have it or back ordered etc. i just looked at some of my save quotes from alibaba and the drivers were within $2-20 of what the vendors sell them for but after international shipping you are paying the same if not more on small orders.

i got a nice quote for heatsinks until i saw the shipping was $185 for 32 of them :( which put them at the same exact price as most vendors.

well in a lot of cases its not price fixing just super thin margins. i make next to nothing on most drivers but i stock them for convenience. people wont pay $20 more than cdi/sager/etc so it is what it is

in heatsink case transportation is a large portion of the cost and youre paying it no matter which channel it comes thru

I didn't mean you, sorry, but those companies like Mouser, etc are just like the middlemen in the computer industry use to be, nobody got a deal unless your name was Dell...... I'm willing to bet they make more than you think. I've worked for HP, etc, I know quite a bit about the dealings of middlemen in electronics.

Thank you Cobkits! Got my little setup cookin this afternoon, I'm very happy with it. I only wish I had more space so I could expand. When I do, Cobkits.com is where I'll look first.

HLG 185h-48A 100% output (wired remote, outside of tent)
(2) Citizen CLU048 1818 90CRI (wired parallel)
140x70mm passive heatsinks (aimed a fan at them for additional support)
90 degree reflectors


According to a post by Samsung 42 on 10/9/16, this gives me 53 volts and 241 watts to cobs (parallel).

This will only power half my small tent (35"x22"x63"). I'll use a Roleadro 400w (200w actual) cob light for the other side which will shine on the new additions to the bloom tent. It has a stronger blue spectrum than the citi's, and almost as much red. When space clears under the citi's they'll move over.

Mainline/manifold style plants going forward, 8 colas per. Ideally harvest 1-2 plants every 4-6 weeks.

Currently, I'm on day 23 of bloom with a Black Diamond og teen that was flipped into flower with minor LST. I think she'll be much happier now with this fresh wattage on her.

I'll take 225w too, thanks for info, and extra amperage doesnt hurt either. My understanding is the CLU 048 1818's perform best over 90w?

Agree, based on sq footage it is enough light, but my carbon filter hogs space at the top so I run my lights on both sides of it to gain some additional height clearance.

Using 225w usage for half the tent (2.75 sq/ft) gets me 81w sq/ft, but I'm more interested to find out what my PPFD is for this 2 cob setup. But I'm lost.

The formula according to Flexy123 is:
