I'm about to wire an extension cord to my meanwell drivers. How do I keep tension off of the connectors? I don't want anything to pull apart from the weight of the wire over time

M3 screws 6mm length works for cob holder and reflector adaptors. The four that are drilled into the side of the heat sink are bigger not sure what size them are.

Lowes has 16/3 stranded wire for like 40 some odd cents a foot and nice male plug ends for like 3 bux but for like 6-7 bux you can have a real nice durable power cord

Don't use the 18 gauge lamp wire from lowes when you go to pull the two strands apart it rips the insulation on one wire. Cobkits is looking into getting some single solid 18 gauge wire for us to use

Hmm, I use 14 gauge romex for bjb holder's, it's a snug fit but it has worked better than anything else I've tried.

Where you guys measure temperatures on COBs and heatsinks?
i like putting a probe down the center pins on the back of the heatsink to where it touches the base plate on the sink.if the sink is near horizontal and its a good probe its pretty accurate imo.

some bjbs take 1.0mm wire, most (all the ones i sell) take 0.75 and cant fit over 18 GA
I don't know what to say. I have 20 bjb holders all bought from you and 14-2 romex worked the best for me. It worked so well that when I start adding cobs next month I'll be replacing the existing wire with romex.

i had someone else destroy all their bjb with 14 ga (stranded i beleive)

if it grips it grips i guess. 18ga is oversized for out application to be honest

14GA would handle 15A to a cob
