that's weird that your upload is 4mb but your download is in the mid 20s. i get between 17-25 download but my max upload has only been around 2.1. if i want 4mb upload that's gonna be another 20 bucks a month, but i'd get around 50 mb download.
 
Here's my regular residential speed. I also have a business account, that one gets around 45 MBPS download

This is testing while streaming Netflix on another TV and 2 people are playing MW3. Also I tested it 450+miles away from me to be more realistic.

99Mbps is a waste of money until websites raise their capacity. And like one tech article suggests, that won't happen until enough people start paying for that extra bandwidth. And having all that bandwidth doesn't make the internet faster because the internet sites themselves haven't upgraded. I know this firsthand, been in the Northeast where it's available and was not impressed. Nope, I think my 26Mbps for 35 bucks a month is a bargain, and I got money leftover for food to eat while I watch Netflix which is flawless on my connection

I don't pay anything for that speed? And no I don't live at home with my parents...I own my own house ;)

Also, you must not download too much HD content illegally do you? ;)

I never assumed you lived with your parents. I do wonder, how you get that for free though... But like I said, you're only as fast as the internet at those speeds, which isn't any better than someone with a 40Mbps throughput, and what I get with what I pay for is a great deal.
And no, I don't have the need to illegally download movies because I'm not a thief. Besides, I have enough HD movies on my hardrive to last 10 lifetimes, all paid for and legally owned.

Great...im a dirty rotten broke pirate...have been since the dawn of mp3's back in the early 90's...and i never said you said i lived with my parents...i just said that so nobody would claim that to be the case ;)

And just so you know the majority of websites have plenty of bandwidth with at least 100mbit connections if not 1gbps connections to the switches in the racks, let alone the multiple 10gig+ connections to the data centers themselves...its just that load balancing hardware restricts sites that are on cheap hosting providers, and also restrict the amount of apache processes used to process the http requests so they can host more sites on single servers ;) It's all in the hosting packages and the provider :) People want $5/month hosting...and for the most part, get what they pay for :)
 
now it says download speed 11.2 upload of 3.4

another site just gave me 6.4 download speed. I'm going to try different ones. This is so bogus

could be your router. i had to fuck around with the channel on mine because i was getting speeds all over the place. channels 6 and 11 have the least interference but sometimes setting it to auto actually works.

and to the people running their speed test from work or school (commercial accounts) i'm SO not impressed.
 
My Internet speed test results are,
Download Speed: 18.89 Mbps
Upload Speed:0.795 Mbps.
I check my internet speed from ScanMySpeed.com
What you think about this speed?
Is this good or bad?
