ok. this thread is slightly premature but i have an order placed for something a bit unconventional as far as vaporizers for marijuana go.

most think the typical brand names that come to mind (magic launch box etc).

however. im a former cigarette smoker who has quit w/ the help of electronic cigarettes. i went through various models (most of them were utter crap) before coming across something promising: Joyetech Ego kits.

What does this have to do with marijuana?

well. i had issues with some of the parts i got in my ego kit so i bought aftermarket parts that were rated as superior. during my search for the ultimate after market parts i came across one for dry herbs (instead of nicotine liquid make of pg or vegetable glycerin)

ive placed an order a few days ago and it should be here soon.

instead of the nicotine juice i'll be using ground up buds (or shake..havent decided) and i'll report how well it works. it may be cheaper or more portable/easier to conceal than other vapes (assuming it works) so it might be for you.

for someone who doesnt have any of the equipment needed you could get away with purchasing a battery, a charger, and one of these dry herb aftermarket parts. in other words it would cost about 50 or so to get in.

DONT RUN OUT ANY BUY THING! obviously many here know ive been here for awhile and im not spam. im not trying to encourage sales of joyetech. its just the brand i so happen to use. there are many other brands selling similar style batteries.

if you're a cig smoker looking to quit an e-cig with a dry herb attachment might be ideal for you.

i just happen to use ego because they have variable voltage control which allows me to vaporize anywhere from 3.2 to 4.8 volts.

so tune into this thread and ill be up with a review and hopefully this will help some people who cant smoke because of medical reasons or who want to switch to vaping by choice but are looking for a different alternative. i figure its useful for public use since everyone will associate it with an ecig and not someone getting high.

Just go spend the 200 bucks for a real vape

you're right. because electronic cigarettes are fake vaporizers. thats why ive been make believe vaping and blowing make believe vapor out of my electronic cigarette since i quit cigarettes.

now im not saying this will work for certain but to say its not a "real" vaporizer is complete b.s. they produce vapor. the only question will be if you can buy an attachment to make it work. i did my homework on this and if it should work that means someone can be vaping mj discreetly (yes even in public since electronic cigarettes dont raise concern in public bcuz every1 assumes its nicotine) and for very little money compared to say a volcano. the cost to get you started would be roughly $50 USD (give or take)

you can get a battery for $20 or so that comes with a 5ft usb cable that allows you to charge it as well as use it while its charging then all thats needed is the attachment for the herbs (25-30 mattering on your source) plus shipping. not a bad deal.

i came to update this today to let everyone know the tracking number says its "out for delivery" today. that means ill be able (most likely) to report if it works or not (and how well it works) by the end of the day/nite!

it works. its a success. granted it probably doesnt compete with a volcano but i did get vapor and it did taste like mj and produce an effect.

ive only used it once. its a bit finnicky (bud must be touching the coil/wicks) but it does work. its best to put a little instead of packing it full. flavor is pretty good.

I too am an ecig user. I got mine from a company in Hawaii called the Volcano inferno. I have heard that Canabliss sells oils that you can put in these, but I have not heard of atomizer that hold dry herbs. Please provide a link. I will have to give this a try.

ive heard of the volcano. is it 510 threaded? search google "dry herb cartomizer" many different companies make them. i got an off brand one from ebay (because it was cheap...i didnt wanna spend a lot to test one out). im sure the name brand one's will be even better.you have to hold the battery button down and let the atomizer heat up a bit more than you do for ecig juice. it could also be mine was off brand. alternatively you could make thc glycerin or buy some if youre in a medical mj state.there are recipes out there to make thc vegetable glycerin. if you make some you could use that directly in your cartomizer designed for ecig juice.i use the joyetech ego-c's and kanger t2 clearomizers. if i had some thc vegetable glycerin i could put it directly into my kanger t2 (that i use for my ejuice) and vape right away.Vegetable glycerin can be rough on your atomizer and will cause it to die faster but my atomizer replacements only cost $1.50 and i replace them about once a week so no big deal for me.
