Insulation for metal building pole barn?

The roof is metal with wood purlins/trusses. The prior owner did not put an underlayment under the metal roof for the ceiling. The problem is freezing outside cools the metal. Indoor is 50 to 70 degrees F so the ceiling sweats with water/condensation like a mother.

My friend is going to try double bubble reflective wrap. The idea is the space between the metal ceiling and bubble wrap on purlins (about 8 inch space - will be 20 degrees or maybe colder, outside zero degrees and indoor below bubble wrap is say 65 to 75 degrees.

The bubble wrap is not cheap so he may do the bubble wrap for one room then switch to the tear proof foil.
The more expensive foam is probably the way to go but too late to do in the winter.

Thanks.
