im pretty sure you dont want a mercury discharge lamp and are much better to go with a high pressure sodium or metal halide...... to get the lamp working yo uneed a ballast, and probally some sort of ventilation to control heat !

unfortunately i can't use better lamps

But is this one any better?

for less than half the price of that one you can get a hps or metal halide..... those mercury vapor lamps are HID also and require a ballast and are not half as good.... same energy consumption..... why cant you go mh or hps ?

i was worried about the higher energy consumption, because i live in a quite small apartment

what kinda vents fit best into small closet (35cm x 45cm)?

A Mercury Vapor will burn the shit outa those plants if in a small room. Of course so will the other HID lights, but Mercury Vapor gets like burn your hand with the slightest touch hot, trust me ran one for a short while.
