Hello dose any one every tried it have any info on running a GH waterfarm with a separately bought water pump. If so what size (GPH) should I use and what should the timing be, to recirculate. As well this will be my first time use a drip system and should the drip run 24/7. And any other info any one could have about using a set up like this. I have had done 4 grows in a regular D.W.C/ Bubble Bucket set up under a 1000w mh/hps. Thank you for any ones help.

a WF uses an airpump not a waterpump . and yes it runs 24/7

edit:: oops, my bad, i didnt' see the 8 site part of your post. i'm not sure about that setup. i only do stand alone wf's.

Rkymtnman I understand that I am asking about buying a separate water pump to make the system recirculating.the pros and cons and if any one has tried doing that rather then the gravity type feed system that the WF

yep, see my edit to my post.

i'm not familiar with how the 8 site works. is it gravity fed and you want to add a waterpump instead?

Rkymtnman I am pretty sure it is it has the 13 gallon reservoir that fills the control tank with the float valve level release the water into the buckets when the level drops

and you want to connect all 8 together with pvc or something similar and modify it to a recirc setup?
the only problem i can think of is that the wahtever the water level is in the 13 gal res will become your water level in all 8. so you'd have to change the res to make it more similar to the white line on each wf.

It already is this is a picture

But I'd guess that I would have to buy this kit they sell that makes its recirculating but it appears to only have a mother air pump and I figure if I can get the water moving faster it could also oxygenate the water more as well as keeping the pH leveled better

oh cool, never seen that before. yeah, so the top res feeds the bottom res and the water height is controlled by the bottom res.

to be honest, i'd leave it alone.

Hey i run rdwc and the pump for the 6 to 8 pot iws rdwc pro setup uses 1000ltr/h pump.. if you want to make it recirculating the i would use the biggest pipes you can for the circulation of nutrients as small pipes like mine block with roots..

have a look at this link above..

I would look at 75mm piping for pot to pot connections and pump the chiller nutrients back to each pot/tote for better oxygen levels than bubbles will ever provide..

circulation should run 24h and i mix back to the main res/butt twice a day to refresh nutrients.
