Indoor Continual Harvest Setup

First grow using real equipment. Running two rooms, one veg one flower, 400w HPS and 400w MH. Flower room has a 4ft light mover, neagative ion generator, intake/exhaust system. Veg room has intake/exhaust system which recirculates between the flower room, CO2 generator. Have a small cabinet for clones, but may discard and move into veg room soon.

So.. kind of similar to a Mr. Al B Fucts setup actually.. god bless. Plan on having roughly 10 mothers in the veg room. 36 cuttings every two weeks (two clone buckets of 18, straight to flower room for sea of green after rooting, about 25.. hey so I suck at cloning right now :) it is getting a lot better though. Hopefully harvest every two weeks at 25 plants... possibly 12.5-25oz every two weeks.. we will see.

Right now I'm still in the seedling stage and looking for those plants with excellent genes to make mothers. Seeds have been a hassle.. I can't wait for a uniform crop. As a side note my last order from Nirvana was seized at the border (not seized--they open and check, take the seeds, send what's left).

Not sure how to comment on those pics.. but you can make out what is what for the most part. Temp is around 80F most of the time. Veg room about 75F when lights on.. lifhts off not sure probably 65F..

Ionizer is hung from the ceiling of the flower room. CO2 generator on the floor of the veg room.. The clone cabinet has 1 of the clone buckets being tested right now.. need to make sure it's reliable. Rockwool is ok... but I'm lazy.

Growing a few different strains.. Lowryder #2, Ganja Dwarf, Dutch Dope, all my skunk red hairs were male (wtf!), afghan big bud, and thai x skunk. If I ever have to get seeds again it will for sure be something feminized.

So.. I only have one question really.. Do you think CO2 supplementation will really help? Personally, I think it is.. but I haven't seen many ops with it. Oh, and of course and advice would be great.

Also, is there anywhere in the US to get Fytocell? Stuff sounds amazing.

Well, not sure if anyone is following along, but thought I'd post an update with some pics. In the pics you can see the 3-5 large flowering females--they have been flowering for three weeks. They are 'Ganja Dwarf' from AMS seeds and I have to admit I thought they would be dwarfier. Admittedly, I could have vegged them shorter, but still.

In the corner I have my first SOG batch of about 25 including ~8 Big Bud's from AMS and 1 skunk red hair (male difficulties) and the rest good bag seed. You can see the lower 1/3 plant material has been removed in anticipation of flowering. About 4 males have been removed already, the rest showing no definitive sex yet, except the shunk red hair, which is an interesting story. It was cloned from a hermaphrodite mother plant, but appears to be all female now.... These have been flowering two weeks. They are way behind the ganja dwarfs because I didn't veg them, and also the ganja dwarfs are an "autoflowering" plant, like Lowryder--they genetically picked to mature fast.

The other 5-6 plants are mother rejects, all of which are Dutch Dope or Indoor Mix from AMS seeds. I have 6 big, healthy Dutch Dope mother plants just waiting to get back in the groove of things since being sexed.

How long should I wait after determining the female sex in 12/12 and moving the now mother to 24 veg before cloning for SOG purposes? I'm guessing two weeks?

Looking Good!! Getting mothers is the hard part I think. I hope to have a few chosen for fall. I wanna try SOG on a really small scale.. Harvest 3-4 smaller plants or 2 medium every 3 weeks. Well see...LOL. Its a lot of work. I have harvest starting next week though and then it will be somewhat consistent through summer :) WOOOHOOO.. Happy growing! Looks like you are on the right track for some happy returns.

Thanks SomeGuy! Agreed it's a lot of work--like a regular job sometimes! Just trying to be patient now... should really be seeing some explosive growth in the next two weeks.

It's funny how many problems you encounter when doing this! Now I'm having humidity issues (can you tell me camera lens was fogged up) from the Cap-1 CO2 generator, which also has a pilot light that I forgot about which obviously emits light in the flower room :( need to think of something for that.... Getting a dehumidifier soon.

Oh the difference a few days can make ;)

These are just some closeup pics of the Ganja Dwarfs. Have about 2 weeks left; 3 max.

I started using molasses about 4 days ago and.. if you scroll a few posts up and compare.. there has been a huge difference in bud growth.

Hah! Someguy you are hilarious! I've been chopping off nugs here and there, testing the water :) I'm impressed with the ganja dwarf so far!

4-5 weeks sounds about right for this first harvest of about.. 5 plants

The continual harvest is still getting up and running.. there are about 25 plants in a SOG that have been flowering for about 3 weeks.. here is a pic

Also, I've just transplanted another 25 clones from my clone buckets (pic below), which will immediately go into the flower room. It took about 2 weeks to get decent roots on the clones. I expect to move clones into the flower room every 3 weeks at first to see how it flows..

ya it takes a while for them to root. Its better to have too many clones than not enough. If you aren't doing this commercial you'll have plenty of personal. :) Thats all I do mine for, saves me a ton-o-cash as I smoke almost a zip a month. Im not medical but could be in the right state. Ive had major back injuries. Still active but have to control the pain.. sometimes more than other times.

Not sure how much a zip is, but I smoke more than anyone I know  (but we won't go into the why--I'm a healthcare advocate and deem it medically necessary, personally). This is for personal use and close friends only.

I have a question for ya though! When choosing mothers for my sea of green I went with the fastest growing (which incidentally means the tallest) and now I'm wondering if that was a mistake. Do you think I should have chosen genetically shorter growing plants as mothers to keep the sea of green at a shorter height? I don't even know that it matters...

You could just top them or tie the top down. I did that on one of mine and its worked out real nice. I will be shutting down for a while at summers end but when I do start again Im not sure I want mothers... I just realize I like variety too much.. so maybe just clone once or twice and also be starting new strains. Variety is the spice of life. :)

I got my hands on some Molasses tonight, man. I hope it'll help my plants as much as it did yours :)

They look great, M8!

Pic of clones recently potted into flower room and pics of overall flower room growth...

Built a drying chamber out of a tupperware container and usb-powered 80mm computer fan. First one so.. testing it out.. which is why the 'trial' buds were harvested so soon.. heh still need to read up on manicuring.

Anyone seen a female with hairs like this? Picture 013x.jpg

They are thick and short, Picture 015x.jpg

not like the thin and whispy hairs I usually see... Picture 018x.jpg

Check it out if anyone knows a possible class it could belong to let me know.

Things could be going better I suppose. Everything is taking longer than I expected. Just this week upgraded to a 1000 watt HPS and already having heat issues. It's not even summer yet. The outside ambiet air is about to climb 20 degrees!

Anyway, here's the pics. Lost a whole batch of clones last week due to..? Set me back another two weeks. grr.

The short plants are all clones--the tall ones are from seed. Some random seeds produced one nice purp! The clones are flowering at a much lower height than from seed, effectively solving at least one problem :-|

Also an outside shot of the flower amd veg rooms separated by 6mil black plastic. A shot of inside the veg room (400 watt MH) and the mothers. Also a shot of the clone chamber/seed starter box.

The best part of all--supplied my own medicine for over a month
