hey all

I'm on my second DWC grow and whenever i change my res or can be bothered i unplug my air pump and blow through the tubes (10min) to get a little more CO2 dissolved in the water. is this beneficial or am i just waisting my breath...

also on this topic has anyone looked into those CO2 machines for increasing the concentration of CO2 in fish tanks? would they be worth while or am i stretching a little.

pce.

yeh i know they will absorb some, just not too sure how much they can take and wether it's beneficial. it didn't have a negative effect on my last grow so was thinking of doing a home made CO2 set up and letting it go straight straight into the res...

i got the whole soil growing method down pat with CO2 and all the fancy stuff, just trying to widen my knowledge of hydropponics and this addictive hobby in general:weed:

You say you "know they will absorb some".....man roots do NOT absorb co2 like the stomata on the leaves of the plants, roots absorb OXYGEN.

Co2 has negative effects on root development this is the reason why we make our soil mixes light and fluffy and use plenty of air stones in DWC.

Stop wasting your breath and getting all light headed for nothing, besides there isnt even that much co2 in the air you exhale.
