Hey everyone, I was reading about the antipsychotic factors of CBD, and was wondering if there is anyway to increase the amount of CBD in my buds.
Do you know of any strains with a high CBD content?
i heard that running your plants a few extra weeks in flower will degrade the thc and turn it into cbd.
anyone able to verify or contradict?
what's cbn?turns to cbn not cbd.
They all differ by an atom or two I can't see how it'd be that different. I would just harvest likes 2 weeks later.
what's cbn?
haha sorry, but thank youthis website google found the answer for me.
Cannabinol (CBN) is a psychoactive substance cannabinoid found in Cannabis sativa and Cannabis indica/afghanica.[SUP][1][/SUP] It is also a metabolite oftetrahydrocannabinol (THC).[SUP][2][/SUP] CBN acts as a weak agonist of the CB[SUB]1[/SUB] and CB[SUB]2[/SUB] receptors, with lower affinity in comparison to THC
incorect....thc degrades into cbn...the sleep inducing and imo worthless cannabinoid...cbd is another precursor to thc so therefore any environmental conditions that boost thc production would be eliminated or reversed...ie use no uvb, low temps, higher rh less intense lighting or further distance from the light...yes the genetics are what you need for high cbd, but you can have plenty enough effective cbd levels for treatment if you just make hemp oil or hash oil whichever moniker you prefer and still be well high tooi heard that running your plants a few extra weeks in flower will degrade the thc and turn it into cbd.
