In pots or in the ground?

So smart pots vs in the ground. From what I know planting in the ground always yields more.
I wont be using the ground soil for obvious reasons. Promix mainly.

Mainly looking for a lb per plant.

I got 4-5 going out. In an outdoor scrog. around a meter apart

If you are only going to use 20-30 gallons then I'd say dig holes for sure. You will have better results that way and that's easy to dig too. Deeper holes are better.

If you do us containers bigger would be better unless you live in the mountains or somewhere with very moderate temperatures.
Wrapping the container in burlap will help keep the roots cooler. If the roots get above 85 degrees they start to litterally cook (I think 85 is right, may be a little higher) and the sun heats them up quick. In the ground or in large containers (100+) then they thrive in hot temperatures as long as adequate water. Best of luck.

It goes quite hot where I am.
