Improving my iso runs

hi all,

basically i use 99.9% iso and run it over my product .

1. if im after a more of a "rick simpson" oil ill mix it up for a good few minutes.
2. if i after a nice "keif/powder" texture ill do QWISO no more than 30 seconds

when i have left the product to evaporate the iso off i get my oil round it up and leave it under fan for a good hour or two just to make sure its safe....

now i deal with repairing vacuum packers for butcher shops.... if i was to place my oil onto baking parchment paper and place it in the vacuum machine , it basically pulls down to its strongest PSI value (usually 3-8psi) and then holds for about 6 seconds and releases... should i put it under the vacuum wait for it to hit its max point then turn machine off and leave for how long to sit under vacuum? or wont this do much good if im using iso compared to bho etc?

Man, I'm a newb on iso so Id on't have much advice on that, but I have a question for all ISO'ers who hit this thread too, if you don't mind... just wondering (op included) what do you use to dry out on? I always use pyrex dishes that have rounded corners and I inevitably lose some of my material to the corners because I can't figure out a good way to scrape it up... obviously can't use the flat edge razor for that. And I find that the pyrex dishes are not perfectly flat either and that I can sometimes have a hard time even getting the razor to scrape the supposedly flat part evenly...

WHat do you use? It looks like you get a pretty good scrape up in that second keif shot...

na thats cool mate another question i also wanna know

i brought rectangle pyrex dishes and ye i do lose product in corners i try and heat the glass up and then use a rubber spatula and run it round the corners then scrape up and leave to dry but probs a better method lol i dont recommend round pyrex dishes though far to much waste at end lol

That's actually a pretty good idea... except when I heat it ends up bone dry like powder... so nothin scrapable with a spatula at that point... i guess you heat it just prior to full evaporation, or you are keeping an eye on it and doing it now and then or something during the drying process maybe?

Yeah, the round pyrex dish was all i had last time and it was definitely a lot of headaches and waste.

I am envisioning a mirror with a custom built frame that creates a seal around the edge... somethin you can just snap off when you want to get stuff scraped up after... but the problem there is, the only thing I could think of to do that would be some sort of rubber seal... and I think ISO eats through rubber if left exposed...

ahhh thanks bro i dunno why i never been active on here think was all the paranoia over cops etc lol

yeye i like ur idea and i have no idea on the seal but then ur have problem of scraping product off seal.... its defo something im interested in finding out about... oh it must just be luck when i heat it lol but in these rectangle dishes i dont get much problem now lol i think also the bigger the dish the easier to get into corners etc and maybe just need to invest or brake a blade up into smaller parts size of little fingernail etc

i just made smaqll batch of iso oil now looks dark when together but pick a bit off and nice and yellow

highs not bad more indica body than head so its all good here

Yeah getting it off the walls of the structure would be a challenge... but I am picturing using a really big mirror so it spready REAALLLY thin.

(I have one that's like 4x3 feet)

Now that I thnk about it maybe I can just use that mirror anyway... I'll have to look at how the framing meets the glass... maybe pour some water on it to test leakage...

Even with a smaller blade or whatever it seems like it's almost impossible to get a flat meet once the glass starts curving. So frustrating.

WHat do you use? It looks like you get a pretty good scrape up in that second keif shot...

Soak in iso after every run and keep it in a jar. Works out well.

yup i left some iso in the bowls and swirled it around got most of the corner build ups up and now its drying off

nice little extra that usually would of just got washed in sink and binned lol#

This is kinda old but I started making has not too long ago and couldn't find anything to strain in to and I didn't want to go buy a Pyrex dish so I found a glass lid to one of our kitchen pots...flip it upside down and it works like a champ no missed hash...also I gave up on blades and went to Wally world and bought some chisels...never use a blade again
