I am 11 days into my Auto AK47 grow....FFOF soil. Have not added any nutes...but my boy is growing in DWC, he is a month ahead of me, and I swear his plant is almost 3 feet tall, no stretch, with a HUGE COLA. Had I seen how big his auto was getting in DWC, I would have definately gone that route...

As for improving yield, get the highest watt HPS you can afford, get it as close to the plant as possible without burning it. More Lumens=bigger, stronger plants.
Use good soil, ferts, controll your airflow and temps. You know, basic gardening shit bro.

As for LST, FIM, Topping and all that stuff, I have yet to try it, or seen a grow journal with pics on any method with a Auto plant. I would love to try it, just do not have a "spare" plant that I want to experiment on this time around....maybe next time.

Yeah I have find that autos do well in hyrdo. They usually need 24/0 light in able to grow nice and big, otherwise you will get little bud off of them.

What the guy above me said is pretty much correct, high power hps bulb, the works.

im growing out some Buddha White Dwarfs which are an autoflowering variety. i found that they stretched a lot in the beginning so i repotted them with more soil so much of the stem was under the earth. i also put a fan blowing on them with increasingly stonger speeds in order to build up their stems.. so far its working. i havent begun to lst them yet, but i will soon. i am using the nhumboldt nutrients oneness system and it they are looking good thus far!! good luck!!

I got my 600WHPS on 18/6 light cycle...11 days into grow...should I keep it at 18/6, or throw it into 20/4? Heard 24/0 is just a wast of money.:leaf:

I use 20/4 cycle for my Auto AK47. What you said about the DWC sounds awesome. I'll have to
experiment with that next time. So far I have about 3 or 4 weeks left and it looks like I should net
at least an O off of each one, maybe more.

So, you think it will shock the plant if I change the light cycle to 20/4?

I do not see why it would messs the plant up....it is a autoflowering strain, right?

You can if you want. Some say they dont really lose any yield by going 18/6 during flower. But it shouldn't
stress the plants with such a small change.

Auto AK47 is a pretty strong plant. It doesn't get shocked very easily from anything, except maybe over watering
and pH imbalance. They can take alot.
