So tomorrow will be day 4 of drying. Unfortunately, I must go home from college for spring break. My buds, as you see in the pictures, are all nearing the "stem cracking" stage. The only issue is that the biggest bud you see, or my little cola, is not as caught up with the other branches. Is it possible to still cure the buds on it in a jar, like Im doing with them all, even though its not completely dry yet? I'm hoping tonight it changes some, but advice and thoughts are appreciated greatly. Thank you :D.

how long will it be in the jar for until you will be able to let it out to dry again? youd prob be safest just throwing it in a paper bag. wet bud + jar = mold

i would cut the buds off the stems - they will dry faster. Then put in a paper bag until they are dry enough for a jar.

Oh no, of course I ramble and forget to mention key things. I would jar everything tomorrow, and it is all going home with me :D. I just worry about the following: (A.) Three hour drive to home. I am 22 years old, but of course my father is one of those anti-drug people. If the jar needs burping, is it alright to be done in the car if needed? And would the jar need opened and could be in my fathers basement, or will I need to remove them as well as have a fan present? Thank you so much, and I am truly sorry about me not being specific :D!

Drying and curing cannabis properly will yield the most THC-potent smoke. When dried and cured improperly, potency can diminish substantially. The level of THC in a plant is determined by its genetics. Proper drying and curing will keep the THC level as high as genetically possible. It does not increase potency. A little background on what happens inside and outside the harvested drying plant will help you understand why proper drying and curing are so important to good quality dope.

Your buds should be fine in a jar for a 3 hr car ride. I would just jar them up right before you leave. I wouldnt burp them in the car, they will be fine until you get home. Smell could be an issue when you burp. It really depends on the strain. I've had strains that I open 1 jar and my wife could smell it 2 floors away; others werent soo bad.

Any ideal spot to have the jar in the car (haha that rhymed ;p)? I know dark is needed, but also will need to see the hygrometer reading just in case. Im heading to get a meter now. Also, is it smart to keep the extra foilage/pistils on it as I did? Lots if trichomes on it. Thank you oh so much :3!
