impending explosion

if someone noticed small air bubles in their HPS bulb, would that be a HUGE problem or is it normal? They would be about the size of ants. the warning in the box said to check for scraches but not bubbles. has anyone noticed this b4. please check ur bulbs and let me know asap. thanks guyz

this is probably just some air pockets that developed when the glass was blown for the bulb. It could mean that the bulb is structurally flawed (weak and prone to crack) but it might be fine. I'd use a cool tube structure encloses the bulb so that if it does explode, everything will be just fine.

it is incased in tempered glass but if it explodes is it a fire hazard
