I'm thinking about topping my sativa???

Dont know where you live, but if your going to be flowering within a week or two I certainly wouldnt be topping it now. Dig a 2 foot hole?

I had my 18L and 30L pots buried so that the rim of the pots were level with the ground. I just dug another 2 feet out under the 18L pots today and put a layer of rocks under them to keep the roots from growing into the native soil. Don't be afraid of putting them deep into the soil. It was 34 degrees and sunny here yesterday, I don't want to imagine what kind of heat shock the roots would've gotten had the pots been standing above ground.

they wouldnt have got any heat shock. the earth is kinda cool underground & the rocks will stop growth once they hit it. the roots will not have anywhere to go, they will get bound and slow down or stop the growth of you ladies. the native soil couldnt do anything but help unless it was an old car shop.

I eventually topped the plant a few days before flowering. It kept growing vertically. And Recovered from nute burn. I was feeding it to much Fox Farms grow big.
It stopped growing vertically and branched out more after topping.

Try it. No harm in trying. If the stem is so thick try tying the top if you can, CAREFULLY.
