I'm stumped!! Pleeeeeease help lol

hey. on day 21 today, everything was great til a week ago, i overwatered and the leaves drooped so i cut back and they started to come good, then in the past few days they've yellowed and drooped again.

i'd say area is approx 4x4f got a fan on and a 400w HPS. Ph is normal and they get neutral ph water, no nutes at all.

ideas on how to heal would be appreciated! thanks

I'm no expert but I wouldn't use clear growing containers as roots don't like light.
Those are small enough you could probably wrap them in duct tape. It also seems like you should repot and cut back even more on watering. What is your light schedule?

repot as in move them into their bigger pots now?? they're on 24hr at the moment.

get some seaweed and fish extract. seasol will do but if you wanna fork out the coin for a more expensive version that would be good too. different fertilizers and that come in different grades the three main ones being agricultural, then commercial and lastly pharmaceutical (there are more though these are the main ones you should encounter)

the reason im saying this is because fertilizers run on a thing called chelation wich is basically how readily available the nutrients are to the plant, or ultimately how easyly the plants are going to take up the nutrients because they are in a more usable form for the plants to uptake and use. a more expensive version is more than likely going to be cleaner and the plant will be able to use uptake the nutrients and use them much faster than the cheaper brands.

Repot as in something not clear but opaque.
I always find roots grow better in the dark so with clear containers and no dark schedule it is't the best scenario. Try 18-6 and non-clear growing vessels.

hhe could just tape it up with thich black tape or put foil around it.

heres a good rule of thumb to follow on pot size
for each foot of growth give the plant 3 gallons of bucket.

so it's not too early to nute them?? can you tell what the prob is? other than the clear containers and such.

any other brands you would recommend? i dont mind spending a few extra dollars if it'll make a difference

yeah cool, thanks. if i move them onto 18-6 doesn't it stress them? i was going to move them onto 12/12 in a couple weeks....

Ha Ha I think stress has been an issue for some time. Naah just take em to 18/6 youll be ok. I hope/ I think/ maybe lol
You might find giving them a very light Nitrogen solution of fish emulsion and you will see reults in a week.

you checking your ph and whats the medium ur growing in cuz if the soil has ferts already i wouldnt be ferting them for another week or so. check ur ph

well it kinda is to early (i normally dont have to fertilize at that stage) but thats why i recommended fish ferts there generally pretty easy going on the plants. i cant remember the last expensive brand i used but just go to your closes hydro store or some place with a couple. the better ones will have a more clear liquid and not be the unattractive black as seasol is. they also smell cleaner lol.

another hint would be dont overwater
the plant needs air in the soil to survive too.

a good technique when you transplant into another pot is take note of the dry weight and then the wet weight of the pot. (just because the soil looks dry doesnt mean it will be on the inside) thats why i say get used to the weight of your pots this wil give you an idea how much water is actually left in the pot.

also if the surface being dry is annoying you just spray the ground with a spray bottle as if you were going to foilar feed, except in this case your only wetting the top of the soil to make it look wet. i find this also gives the water on the inside time to disperse more evenly through the soil as night passesd on,meaning you should wake up to a nice moist or damp looking soil not dry.

p.s you can also dig your finger into the soil if its dry for more than an inch you can water but id still take note of the weight and if its heavy just wet the surface again for a couple of days, this way we now our soil iss getting air back in it. this is for when your plants in a bigger pot

argh i came home from work today and some of yellowish leaves have gone crispy, so i have to assume i have a heat problem. i'm putting the lower w lamp on them for a bit and hoping they forgive me.

from the pics absolutely no doubt in my mind, its rootbound. you see how the roots reach all the way to the bottom and now have nowhere to go? thats bad, VERY bad.

right i'm little miss super positive but fuck, this is super uncool. i know i'm a noob but i seem to have shanked my last two grows in about as many ways as i could have. all i need is some exotic bug to munt them. haha a bong will put things back in perspective. if at first ya don't succeed, try frickin try again!
