Not sure im posting in the right place, I live in washington, I am a patient now for almost a year, I am growing with Hydroponics and am slow but sure getting my set up right and proper, I have pics of my plants but am needing advice or help learning how to grow, flower, harvest etc when its time...I was doing horrible with soil planted, but so far the hydro seems to be doing good...So if this is not the proper place for this post please let me know where I am supposed to go on this site..Thank you Totalyclipse aka Gabby P.S. am using 1/1000W HPS light, keeping heat to about 80 F or less, using X fertilizers ( or what ever they are called), What else do I need?
GEDC0054.jpg This plant the leaves were turning Yellow in soil. transplanted to Hydro 4 days ago added duct to the 1000W HPS light and a Fan seems to be
doing much better Now
GEDC0056.jpg This Plant is still in Soil, I think I will Transplant it also to Hydro...?...Will it work Well it looks like its dying so just as well right?
GEDC0083.JPG This is the same plant as the first Pic 4 days after transplant...
GEDC0077.JPG The plant behind the plant in front was transplanted from soil to hydro Yesterday...
Any suggestions?...Ideas?...Remember Im a beginner...

I'm not going to blow smoke up your ass like tog. Those are looking rough. Your nutrient solution is definitely too hot and you might have a salt build up/ph issue as well. You should really consider side stepping into soil. Soil buffers and has a less steep learning curve. Much easier for people to get the hang of the whole growing thing with hand watered dirt.

Much less steep learning curve? If you are a retard sure. But yeah listen to him i couldn't make that out of those pics due to quality but if he can help id listen.

Are you checking pH and tds? I'm a soil guy and very happy at how forgiving it is. :)

Hello,
im also a begginer and and did a lot of research that made me realize hydroponic
is no where near for the experience of a begginer. To much mixing, testing and flushing you must know.
I suggest you do soil like me. Right now im doing the subcool super soil mix its working great and my plants are green, vigorous, with thick stocks.
From the beggining i focused on training my babies that way i could learn thier structure and plus a nice outcome on harvest aka super cropping methods.
Remember ive never cultivated my own medicine before because i recently was permitted my medical marijuana card in WA.
IF YOU'D LIKE TO KNOW MORE OR HAVE QUESTIONS LET ME KNOW PEACE.

Ok well Thank you for the input all of you, I will try to get the pictures a bit better I guess one of my grandkids had my camera set for pets or night instead of plants, Yes "CoHo" I check the PH, every other day not sure what you mean by TD..., I didnt know about flushing, but am researching that right now, I also now have a fan and the duct work so its staying about 70 and 80 inside the grow tent before it was too hot, " SevenHour" ty for your input, my PH is fine, I will certainly check into the salt build up though I dont think I have that, since I started using X nutients instead of miracle grow "which was causing some kind of build up on the water rings" I let my water stand for 2 days before mixing then add to the hydro , I personally would have and probably will have a few in soil for myself, but my son wanted hydro, so I am learning hydro, at least I won the battle on only have no more than 4 to begin with instead of all im allowed, at least till we learn it properly...appreciate the time youve given I will get those new pics asap...you all have a good day gabby

Well Hi all sorry I havent been on school starting and I help get grands to school plus been out enjoying this beautiful warm weather which is really odd for washington lol...ok...I think I have learned a lot for a beginner, one thing is spider mites and checking your plants on a daily basis, not just looking in on them but getting in and really looking at them up close with a magnifier, spider mites are hard to see they are so darn small, they kind of snuck up on me, didnt know what the webs were till I took a cutting to a friend I know now, and I had a crash course on fighting them too...lol....I lost all but two of my 5, cherynoble and a jack herer, which turned out great, the second thing I learned to get bigger bud you need to prune your plant , taking the not the fan leaves but the little branches (colas?) I think they are called from the bottom up so that you kind of canopy your plant a second thing I learned and this one is a bit harder for me but I guess will get good with practice is super cropping, I have googled and read everything on this so my next plant "ATF" is going to get the treatment , (Salon time woo-hoo) ..
and now I wish I had taken clones of my cherynoble cause it was the bomb even if it was small bud...lol...one hit and pain was eased for most of the day and I wasnt a couch potato... :) ...
I was going to do more pics but was so disgusted that the little buggers got me I completely forgot to post... (sorry?)... But will definitely try to get my new ones on here now , that I have learned some stuff, Thanks to those growers that were willing to tell me something instead of making me learn on my own ... It must have been the sheepish grin I gave them ... hope you all have a wonderful day and evening... good night all....

Totaly,
TDS is the measure of your nutrient's concentration. You use a TDS meter (an absolutely essential tool for hydro growers!) to measure it.
What I have learned is that young plants are much more nutrient-sensitive than older plants. I agree that your plants look hard-hit by overnutrition. Cut your concentration of nutes to one-third of what you're using for now.

Also, please tell me what sort of water you are using (RO? tap?) and what the actual brand/mix of nutes is.
I would like to give more and better advice ... but without a TDS meter, you're trying to fly IFR in a plane with no instruments. Jmo. cn

ok I need a TDS meter I use tap, let it set over night, add the Xnutrients, http://www.xnutrients.com/ /use the two to three drops of tester in a tiny amount of water and match it up
to the color code card the hydro store gave me...it is always in the yellow/ middle of the chart...
nutrient PH chart.jpg
I will get a TDS meter soon so even though my color shows in the middle of the chart its still maybe too much nutrients?...thankyou for your help would have answered sooner but couldnt get the site to load all day yesterday....hope you all are havin a good day,...
