Im in soil but Have a water question

Like the title says I grow in soil
But i figured this would be a good place for this question.

In my room I have a water holding tank.
I use a float valve to auto refill
And of coarse a hose for delivering the water.
It also has an air stone in it

I have decided to use an ro filter
Because I need to have very low ppm
For what im doing and my current ism filter is not getting me there.

My question is about cal mag.
Is it possible to just continually add
Calmag to that barrel to my desired ppm? Or does it fall out of solution if not used immediately.

What I want to do is avoid individual doses of calmag and just readjust the source.

Sounds to good to be true.
    Can I do it?

You need to mix it in before every feed with your other nutrients. It ALWAYS gets mixed firstly.

    Thanks but i understand that.
The question is how long will it stay good once mixed

I wouldn't let calmag sit around mixed...

When I was doing Dwc I would mix cal mag with 5 gallons of RO water. I would keep it in a cool dark place for no longer than 3-4 days. I never noticed any kind of mineral build up. I also never mixed any other nutrients in the jugs.

I think that it’s not so much how long it’s good for but making sure there’s not too much in it to have build up at the bottom. Frequent cleaning will also prevent this as well.

I think ill at least try it.
Most water holds these minerals naturally. But I get that manufactures have probably added other elements
I will have to adjust it prior to each use anyway due to the float constantly refreshing.

It still would beat measuring each dose at the end of the hose.

Ill update once Ive been running it long enough.

try gh maxibloom. no cal/mg needed. with RO, well and a mix of the 2.

Ahh, I might give it a try next time.
This time is going to be water only via the revs tlo, the recipe im going with calls for super low ppm.

As long as there isn’t a bunch of sulfur in the solution you are mixing in it should stay suspended pretty well, any amount of sulfur will eventually cause some amount of precipitation as gypsum. With the airstone I feel like you are in pretty good shape.

I bet you would be okay for a week to two, depending on temps and other factors.

Once it's dissolved, why wouldn't it stay dissolved? If you're starting with RO, there shouldn't be anything in the water to react with it, right? Does cal/mag come out of solution if you let tap water sit? I'd say your fine. Shit, I might even look into an auto doser just to keep the holding tank at a consistent level if your doing this long term.

    That was my thinking,
Unless they put something in the bottle that will eventually react I see no reason why water would all of a sudden not hold dissolved solids.

I really like the auto doser idea.
