I am not a complete newbie to marijuana, just to growing. currently doing my first 5 plants ever... im wondering for my next plants what are these auto flowering seeds and how are they better from regular seeds?
im a newbie educate me please!

autos are not better than regulars, for the most part.
While the Super Lemon Haze auto I grew might be better than many regular varieties, all things being equal, regular weed is better.
The advantages of autos:
easy to grow
tough, will take heat or cold pretty well
quick, many are done in 60-65 days
the disadvantage to me is that the light is on 18 hours for the whole 60 days and the quality is not as good.
I love autos because I can give a clueless friend auto seeds and he can grow weed, even without knowing what they are doing

If you want quick indoor weed then do a regular plant 12/12 light hours from seed:

Autos, in my opinion, are only superior to regular strains if you plan on growing outdoors, somewhere where it gets cold and wet too quick in the year, or if you want to pull multiple harvests throughout the year.
With autos, you can create your own seeds indoors in the winter, using colloidal silver to make your own femenized seeds of strains of your choice, and then use these seeds during the summer months.

If you only plan on growing indoors, i would recommend 12/12 from seed because the yeilds are very similar, the quality can be much better, and the light usage is as much as half of what autos need to produce well.
If you have an seperate indoor veg tent, you can flower autos in there
while your regular strains are vegging.
There are some very strong autos, so the choice is yours!

you sound like you have alot of experience with auto flowering strains. May I ask what AF strains you have grown?

on my first grow i grew pineapple express, afghan kush ryder, ultra lemon haze, lowryder #1 and lowryder #2, im on my second grow now and im growing ultra lemon haze again (check my sig). Ive grown regular strains outdoors before but as of the start of this year im new to indoor growing
I do alot of research before i start something but theres always things you miss out anyway that never show up till you do it. I learned tonnes on my first grow and already come to some hard truths about my current grow. If it seems like i have alot of experience its mostly because ive been taught it here on RIU by experienced growers who share as much about their growing as they can, which i appreciate them for alot. If you have any q's feel free to ask
