Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

When my clients bitch and moan their work isn't getting done, I work overtime to get it to them.

I dont know what this guy is talking about. It's not simply about buying weed legally, it is getting the medication we deserve -- hence the "medical" marijuana program. Pah.
Here's a link in case you need some frame of reference:

It baffles me that people are getting so upset that they have to wait a little long for a card that legally allows you to buy weed! I get it, we all wish we could get it the same day, but that’s not how it is set up! Bitching and moaning that waiting 100 days, and other states have different laws and wait times, does nothing! I’m sure if you were at work and you at 10,000 people calling/emailing constantly and annoying you, it wouldn’t make you work harder! Not trying to ruffle any feathers here, but just remember, you are going to get to buy weed, LEGALLY!! Be patient and relax some, and the less you stress about it, the quicker the time will go!
I understand the moaning. IL med pot was a political compromise thing. Took 2 years just to get started after approval. Old Dem gov Quinn was a complete ass about it. Rauner is a bit better but Pritzker will be what we've been waiting for (no politics here just undeniable truths) . Funny how I can simply go to pharmacy with script for deadly opioids and they ask me if I want to wait around for it because it will take 20 minutes to fill.

Your understanding is not correct. The program was approved and instituted under Quinn administration. Rauner and his IDPH agency director have tried to slow down and burden the mmj program at every turn, hence the current wait times and lack of coverable conditions we are experiencing today.

I had the same thing happen today.

I really think they hired the least motivated people for this approval process. I had the same experience today.
I’m pretty sure my card came in on Saturday. Person checking my mail sent me a pic of the envelope. I’m in Vegas now enjoying recreational so I’ll know for sure tomorrow night when I get home. Yours should definitely be there this week.

Might want to check on your status. Dr Footerman had his license suspended and a lot of people are out their money.
Can’t post link but here’s the 1st few paragraphs. Good thing it’s not due to malpractice.

“SPRINGFIELD — A Chicago doctor who says he is treating more than 1,800 patients in Springfield, Rockford and the Chicago area had to stop practicing last month when the state suspended his license for failing to make child-support payments.

David Footerman, 66, said Sunday that the indefinite license suspension "seems overreaching, unjust and suspect," and he said his patients, many of whom are in the state's medical marijuana program, are suffering as a result”

Usps informed consent says i have a letter from idhp!

Woohoo
Nice.
But if they keep this speed going I should get mine 5 days after infusion when I really need it. LOL, I figure it's either going to be that or it's in the mailbox while I'm getting it and too sick to go to a dispensary that weekend.

I feel your pain I had C5 C6 done on 10/17. My caretaker received her card 10/31 and was able to go for me, but I still haven't received mine.

Infusion, like chemo-lite for Crohn's. I quit 20 years ago and have no tolerance except that weekend it makes me feel normal.

I had C5/C6/C7 fused about a year and a half ago. Left over nerve issues is something I'm hoping mmj helps.
Hope yours is going good. Mine is a lot better than it was but I think I waited too long to expect perfection.

Sorry I read that wrong. I just had a cervical fusion, not an infusion.

I filled the paperwork on 8/22 and got the card today.

To fricken bad im broke this month
Congrats! At least you have the card! I'm just sitting here still waiting! :(

Submitted application on 9/26.

The process should speed up once they start processing applications received on 8/28, in theory. IDPH confirmed this theory. They said that yes, theoretically, processing time SHOULD speed up, however they mentioned that the number of applications that they have received since the 28th has since doubled from their normal volume.

Looks like I will still be waiting for quite some time.

SOOOOOOOO god damn tired of suffering and waiting

Thru IEC

8/13 appointment
8/20 payment approved / receipt obtained from the Patient Alliance
10/15 emailed / DPH confirmed app received

No card yet. I think it is wholly unacceptable to delay medication like this. What type of health department is this.

When I applied for my card in California, I also received a permit same-day from my health provider until the card arrived. Unacceptable program in Illinois.
My card arrived today on this timeline. Less than 90 days.

Well I had to use an alternate email address but I was finally able to get a reply AND an apology from IDPH. Apparently my app was approved an I should receive my card this week.

Also guys for those of you still waiting an would like a legal alternative, I found some awesome CBD flower at my local co-op shop. It looks, tastes, and smells like the real thing. I purchased 7g of juicy fruit and 7 g of Durban Potion for just a little over $80.00. Now this stuff won't get you high (or make you fail a drug test) but it gives an awesome euphoric and relaxation feeling. I like it. Just make sure you don't get the low bud quality stuff that some shops sell as it will taste like spice. They also include lab tested results, terpene profile, and all that good info.
