Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

I’m at 90 days and still counting almost seems like it’s never going to come I wouldn’t get any hopes up of it becoming faster it’s same shit different day if you ask me I’m seeing people that applied after me getting their cards I’ve gotten no email back no phone calls and no letters stating I’ve had any issues so not sure what the deal is. Welcome to Illinois I guess.

I'm in the exact same situation as you. I was able to get ahold of IDPH last week and all they could tell me was "still processing." When I reached out to MCO they told me to keep calling IDPH until I get someone on the phone who can actually track my application. Sooo I placed over 200 phone calls to the 800 number today of which two I actually got into the holding music queue...only to be hung up on from the original recording after a few minutes. This is very frustrating. Can't get ahold of anyone, can't find anything out...its even more frustrating because I was told that I would have my card within 90 days from 7/5, hell, that was a joke.

My visit to MCO was 7/5, but the state didn't receive it until 7/26. They claim that they mail it out the following Monday, but that seems super long.

What does your timeline look like? When did you apply?
I sent in my app on 8/5, didnt hear a word until I recieved a letter on 10/19 (day 75) saying the were missing my dr certification. I sent it in via email the same day. I didnt hear anything so I emailed them on 10/25 to make sure they recieved the documents. They responded yesterday saying I was approved and card was at printer.

Illinois State Workers are useless.. The IDPH phone numbers are useless.. It’s surprising anyone ever receives their medical card.
I wouldn’t say that! We are all getting to legally buy weed! Who cares that it may take a little longer than we want. Well worth the wait!

It looks like MCO struggles to send in their applications right away! But once the state gets them, looks like 70-75 days now!! That’s exciting!!

I wouldn't say it's the state workers fault that this program has been choked out by bureaucratic BS until recently. I think the old saying "don't shoot the messenger" would apply.

You’re right. It’s just frustrating. I should have just said the phone numbers are useless. Message retracted.
I feel your pain. I have called it a few times and never heard it ring, it goes right to the recorded message. It sounds like email is the best way to contact them.

Informed delivery shows my caretaker is receiving a piece of mail from IDPH today. I don't see one with my name on it, but at the bottom it says there is a piece of mail that was not scanned. I'm really hoping today is the day. I might hug my mailman.

State received papers 8/17
Check cashed 10/23
Received 10/31?
It's not in my hand yet so I don't want to get too excited, but man am I excited. I really hate taking these opiates.
Heck yeah!! That’s awesome! I’ve been drink Kratom, which is really good! If you haven’t heard of it, check it out! It gives the same feeling as Vicodin, but it legal in most states!

You are about a month ahead of me! Can’t wait!
