Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

Damn! You’re closer than I am! Gotta be getting so anxious ha!

Hopefully it’ll be there soon!!
It’s been a long couple of months. Remember if you don’t receive yours by December 1st, that is when provisional access is supposed to begin. I’m just not sure what the dispensary will require.. maybe just need proof of doctors signature for qualifying condition and proof of application submission.. I have a feeling we both might be waiting for our cards after December 1st as it is.. I’m very pessimistic about the whole process at this point. We will see.. I’ll keep you updated. Best of luck to you.

I'm 60 calendar days tommorow applied online. Does anyone know if they are processing September yet?
Wouldn’t it be nice if we could actually get some kind of answers from IDPH? How hard could it be for them to post something online letting us know what dates they are processing each day.. it’s ridiculous..

Yeah, I wonder how that will work!! Yeah, if the timelines keep up at 70-75, it’s looking like the beginning of December for me, and a bit sooner for you!

It’s crazy how often I check this thread and see and hope that someone says it’s been 60 days or they just got it and applied the same time I did! Ha

I hate to make it worse but from what I have read the laws have to be written by December 1st only so they can be implemented on January 1st. From the way it sounds they will not be giving out temporary cards or opiate cards until after January 1st.

Yea, you’re probably right. Hopefully processing starts speeding up for everyone soon. Fingers crossed.

At least we should know something by 12/1. I have hope provisional happens sooner. How hard would it be to do a data dump to auto-email form letters and into the system? Of course it's the state, they'll probably have someone in a different state typing letters on a manual typewriter and then ship those to another state for someone to lick stamps.
Opioids need more updates that can work from dispensaries.

I recently heard of one person that was under 70 days to Informed Delivery of something from ILDPH and an email saying approved but the mail never came "it can take up to 7 days". I would be pissed.

I just entered into a distant hope of getting an email telling me 2 weeks to be at 60 days. That hope is less distant every day. But I still figure Murphy's Law will take over and I'll get it after I need it the most.

The problem with doing a data dump like that is this is considered medical so I think HIPPA would still apply to your information. I agree they need to speed it up, but there are a lot of things that need to be considered. Pritzker is no savior but I think he will do some good thing for medical and recreational. Hopefully they can be done quickly.

For provisional access all they need is to assign QP# and get the name, address and drivers license into the system along with dispensary selection. All that was typed in the online application.
It shouldn't be that difficult to get provisional access working. But this is IL so who knows, it never should've been this difficult to start with.

The Dr and condition is stuck in a PDF, that would be under HIPAA but isn't looked at for provisional access (by the law, who knows about the rules). HIPAA does allow email communication. You've already confirmed it is your email when you applied online.

I’m at the 69 day waiting point.. checked informed delivery this morning, “We have 11 pieces of mail, but no photographs of what’s coming” Thanks USPS.. Thanks for nothing...

69 days for me today, patiently waiting. I logged into the state website and dont recall seeing a link under online services before to "verify a registry identification card", does this mean that its on the way or did I just miss this when I had checked the online services before?

Does anyone know, if when you go to the dispensery, if you need to show your drivers license? Mine expired, and am putting off getting a new once, since now I have to take a test for it haha not sure if all you have to show is your card, cuz I would hate to get there and not be able to buy anything because I was too lazy to get my new license ha

My dispensary requires your card and a state ID or DL. Best bet is to call your dispensary and confirm with them.
