It all depends on who you ask on whether or not you want feminized seeds.
Some of the complaints is that the feminized can more easily be stressed into hermies, or they are just mis-labeled and not worth the money because they are not really feminized, etc.
Some of the counter arguments is that straight seed is stronger since most feminized seeds come from hermies who self pollinate.
There are many theories and many arguements, but even if you buy feminized you will still have to keep an eye on your grow for males or hermies.

Females have the bud. Males are basically to polinate the females to make more seeds, But as Gidget stated, females can hermie, causing seeds if you are not carefull

also when i grew clones i did not get any seeds so befor they were cloned did it star with a feminized seed

When you grow from clone you are taking a direct copy of the genetics of the mother plant thefore it cannot be male as the origional mother was a female and there is no male genetics. In some cases if the female plant is stressed out usually by temp, ph, light timing or a number of other factors the female can mutate genetically into a heraphradyte or hermy(sorry about the spelling but you get the idea). This hermy then grows pollen sacks and fertilises the females.

When a female is fertilised, it puts most of its energy into producing seeds. This will be a combination of the female genetics and the male genetics or in the case of a hermy, the female genetics and the mutated female genetics. If it is a female and a male you tend to find that you get a stable seed (somthing which will not hermy as easily) in mixed sex if it is a female and a hermy the seeds are normally but not exclusivly unstable (basically producing hermy plants which are a bitch). A cross of both a male strain and a female strain is an F1 hybrid (i may be mistaken but im trying my best).

For the best bud, you want to kill all males and hermys as soon as you see them, take time to examine your girls to see if they are infact girls cause if there not your in for some trouble. KILLLLL any males. Females produce the best bud and hermys are a pain in the rectum. I hope this helps.

meh not all hermies can be bad.. there r a few that will grow pollen sacks.. ill just grab some scissors and cut them right off. but thats with a low amount of pollen sacks showing but if it is crazy, they say although cutting them.. they will just grow back with 2x as much as last time. so just mess with the hermie try to cut off all of the pollen sacks if they grow back then trash it. no point in killing them asap if it really isnt bad.

A 100 percent rate female seed is one which has been produced by forcing male flower with giberrellic acid on a female plant, because there are no male cromosones within the female plant all its seeds will be female. Supoose its pure inbreeding but thats what ive read, get ( european cannabis cultivation ) its in plain english the guys a cockny gangster whos made millions.. I have read others and found em contradicing. Its a top book any one can read

what you wanna do is just grow the seeds that you do have, until they are ready to clone. when they are ready to clone, you pull clones from each of the plants and throw said clones directly to bloom. after about 2 weeks the flowers will start and you will know which palnts are male and which are female. Another way to do it is wait until about week 3 or 4 of veg, when they can handle a nute blast, and hit them with a high potassium fertilizer. Palm Ash works good, 0-0-30. that will help it to preflower making distinction a little easier. Those are two ways to tell. Ive used the first method very successfully and just found out about the 2nd and have just been waiting for a need to try it. And as far as feminized seeds go, most of those are made from hermy plants and as such have a higher tendency to be herms. However, high end strains from seedbanks tend to have rockin genetics and so you dont have to worry much with those. But seeds from just anyone that says they are feminized most likely do not have such awesome genetics. BUt again, there is still hope. With those types of seeds, you can get somethin like Dutchmaster Reverse(or HCO Bushmaster) and a good wetting agent(they recommend Saturator, but any other brand will work, as will castille soap, Saturator does work best though) and spray that on them once you put it to bloom and then again ten days later and again tendays after that and it will help to CONTROL the herm. If its a really unstable seed(because some seeds will be stronger) you will still need to cut it down.
