Hey guys latest trip to the hydro shop and the guy (after he shit all over my LED) then proceeded to tell me aboput this whole new SOURCE of light he was calling the iGrow. he mentioned it having no heat output and lasting 15x the amount of my LED also mentioned they had a closer spectrum to the sun. now anyone else no about this or was he just trying to make a sale.

If they look similar to this DWC system, it is likely a renamed ViaGrow system. I would suggest shopping HomeDepot online to get a fair price for the quality. The cheap renamed products some of these local grow shops sell at competitive prices to CAP and/or Titan products is near criminal IMO :o

I couldn't find one person that used them that wasn't completely pissed off. They were expensive too.

Sad thing is you can probably make your induction light, hell there a million of them on youtube as far as induction forges and the likes. It probably would last 15x times longer but have no where near the spectrum of current hps/mh let alone the sun. Good thing there is a community of people like this so people like them don't fool newer grower's.

The only issue I see with Induction Lighting is Penetration.

It's still a Florescent Light.

People will talk all about how tight their node spacing is and all that, but I haven't seen any end results that were crazy spectacular.

I guess if you train the hell out of your plants it may be good.


I've never used one, and never will so I don't really know but I'm guessing the penetration wouldn't stand up to HID.

When I asked the guys at my main shop about the STG they laughed and said the only people that should buy that crap are the ones who like to come into their grow room and see all their plants laying on the floor in piles. He said they just fall the hell over for no reason in that stuff. LMAO.

Induction is antique tech being dumped on US consumers by the Chinese...IGROW is garbage and yep just a glorified electrodeless fluorescent with no penetration and a shitty spectrum...just a gimmick for your very dirty dollars

sure to grow inserts have reduce the time its take to turn my room around from days to about 3.5 hours. They are the biggest timesaver in growing since the water pump.

I just about ante'd up for induction. I'm a nerd, and Tesla is in a way my hero.

I wouldn't but an iGrow though. I would buy an IndaGro if I'm spending my $$.

iGrow's require you to change lamps from veg to flower. Induction lamps still have trace levels of mercury, and are quite fragile.

I had a hard time deciding between my current LED and the IndaGro 100w. Ultimately, I chose the higher output LED. However, I'm still tempted to get one for the summer, since I don't have central AC, less heat in Ju/Aug would help a lot.

My buddy did a run with 3 x 1000 hps and with two of this. All the same strain in all the same conditions except the lighting. These were very poor lights. Probable equivalent to T5s.

First thing to know about the Igrow is that it was just an attempt to take Inda-Gro down , they are even more expensive and the kicker is the spectrum sucks with both but I would rather have the Inda-Gro if I had to buy one . There is more to the story between the two competitors but I ll leave it up to those that are curious to find that information themselves .
