If you happen to see - Dollar Store Mylar Blankets/Sheets

If you dont mind me posting i just wanted to give some feedback on the emergency blankets. Do not use them. There called emergency blankets for a reason. There made to hold heat in. U dont want the added heat in ur grow room. Unless u use cfl's then i guess they could work. But most experianced growers use a hid light. The heat from the bulb is hot enough. No scense in insulating ur room with an emergency blanket. It will just be even hotter in there. Also its not made of real mylar. Its a poor reflector choice.

those blankets are not good cuzz the creases, and they rip easy... mylar is a bitch in general..... panda works much better.. or even flat white paint.... mylar is a bitch to clean without fucking it up..

I'm not sure it's a poor reflector choice for a small CFL grow. These are survival blamkets and they reflect sunlight VERY well, for the purpose of keeping sun off of you in hot climate, and it insulates as well, as you stated. For someone with $50 bucks on a budget and CFL grow, I say why not, it certainly can't be bad as a plain white wall. But it would hardly be my first choice. I ordered 4 of them to cover my grow tent floor and toss them when they get abused looking.

I didnt read the whole post so sorry if someone mentioned this but... Space blankets are designed to reflect heat, and not light. I would think, this would not be what you want, and would be better off using mat white paint, which would not cause hot spots on your grow.

The package specifically states it has been designed to reflect the sun for signaling for a rescue. If you don't think they are reflective, lay one out on your lawn on a sunny day and stare at it a few seconds, then come back and tell us they aren't reflective, if you can still see that is.. :)
