if you grow box isnt wide/deep enough and the leaves of your plant are touching the sides does it have a significant effect on growth.

the reason why i ask is because im looking into a speaker grow and i am able to purchase speakers this size:

High : 12 inches (30 centimetres)
Deep : 14 inches (35 centimetres)
Wide : 40 inches (100 centimetres)

any help, thanks

u could do that its ok if it touches sides, but your going to have to flower very early with indica(short type)..

do u plan on closing the top of it or leaving it open? what lights ?

all enlcosed, ventialted, yet still lightproof.
light is to be a multi stage spectrum, 100 watt grow CFL. (10,200 lumens)

and im also gonna veg for 2 weeks. then the rest is flowering. seeing as the speakers im getting are a pair i am goingto to have both in use with different stage plants.

like a mini SOG. but its just that if i am gonna invest all this time into it i was worried that its skininess would impede the plants....

thanks for your help +rep

yea im pretty certain that its gonna be tall enough im just worried that if the plant becomes too bushy, and rubs against the walls of the box, the plant will fuck up.

cos i heard that if the leaves are pushing up against something, they dont grow that well

thanks

in 2 weeks? no, i dont think that leaves will rub against the walls.

keep us updated bro, let us see how ure doing with growing ;)

what if you kept a mother in a bos and it was touching the sides. since the box is in constant veg would this do anyhting to the clones or anything? i want to put a mother in a 1.5ft x 1.5 ft x 5 ft box.

kk just forget i said anythign about different stages..
all i wanna know is if the leaves are rubbing the sides it grows bad...

thanks

hey tommo i've got a small grow going as well with a slightly shorter box but more horizontal area. I haven't noticed any problems with leaves that are touching the side but I move them around regularly. I could see a problem with moisture getting trapped between the leaves and the wall causing rot if they never move but that seems doubtful. good luck
