Even GreenGeenes agrees with me about getting maximum plant response through a full spectrum. Not to bring you into this. But sometimes no one listens unless it's from someone they look up to.
You don't even understand. That is why I have not reponded to this endless banter of uneductaed nonsense.
I'll grab the quote so you don't twist my words...
YPF( good job Abiqua) is what you are all looking for, for both sides "a photon is a photon" argument. The rest of you need to understand accepted and proven science not your own random thoughts. McCree...learn it, and understand it. And if you're going on your own made up thoughts...use the scientific method(Google it), documentation, and create a real and valid experiment. Otherwise you are all just talking out your asses about what you think is happening.

80cri white are 90.5% usable after RQE.
93cri whites are 89.5% usable after RQE
then count the absolute output of spectrums, and the higher CRI is way behind. Just a slightly higher PS state for ever so quicker flowering(possibly).

As for the anti mono crowds...
I would take...
800grams or flowers and 300grams of stem and 600grams of leaf
Over
600grams of flower 500grams of stem and 800grams of leaf
Photosynthesis only explains the fixation of carbon...not how or what it is fixated into. Photomorphogenesis(light dictated plant development) is what makes certain forms of biomass develop(flowers, leaves, stems, roots)
And this photomorphous is not so much dependant on quantities(intensity) as it is the just enough presents of the signal.

I have flowered under ever white form 2700k to 6500k, combinations of white/red, and pure red/blues...using same intensity, and different. But of course all that matters to people here is cobs. Well boys and girls...it's all just lights. And all past experiments still stand.

So to say monos are worthless is complete pretentious bullshit. Are the necessary to "grow" a plant...no
Are the necessary to absolutely maximizing plant expression and efficiency of plant morphology?...yes.
So unless someone(amare) has 10% efficiency or more to throw out the door to gain 3 to maybe 4% tops in spectral efficiency...that loss in quanta to achieve a spectrum will never be more worth the photons you lost to achieve it.

Quanta is the #1 priority. Simply using higher quanta gives results like less leaf:bud ratio. As well as the all important...end yield. No one in the game has a good enough spectrum or ever will be able to to make up the ground lost to the highest efficiency broad spectrum range pur whites until mono tech makes huge advances in tech, or cost drop 10 fold. And even then...it needs to be shown side by side in experiments and test grows. So show that and we will talk. Otherwise I have proof of higher efficiency pure white clearly superior to a less efficacy but better spectrum lamp. The debatably prettier colors will never make up for the empty space in the nug jar.

Lol man.. that was a hell of a process to come to understanding on what youre trying to say. Im sure we all agree, but let's keep it moving forward.

Only issue is the reds cut into my electrical power, do I care? No, because I offset it using top bin cxb 5k whites that are 63+%

Red is just not as efficient because of that thick phosphor coating or kind of phosphor (@guod it'd be really nice for some of your schooling 'bout now! :eyesmoke:) anywhere from 42-49%? With some of the best reds.. I know mine are somewhere around 40-42% w/ 750mA (42.4@700mA) and I know that's why a lot of guys don't like the idea..

Along with the justifiably close enough spectrum of the cobs- simplicity for diy builds is what I think is the real bottom line of why ppl don't like implementing monos.

Been off and on this one message 100 times now feel like I'm rambling. Think we're good

Edit damn missed a lot: thanks g, much better guy to ask than I am lol. He knows how to transfer thoughts into words :bigjoint:

Your last sentence in that paragraph in your quote above was all my point was. Thank you for clarifying.
"It is necessary to absolutely maximizing Plant expression & increasing efficiency in plant morphology" your words & 100% true.
I saw increased growth from every aspect of my plants in comparison to other light sources.
Many may not think that translates into increased yield but it does, just as white did when compared to Burple.
It's actually all the same colors as your white with More of each & more of it delivered to the plants.
They are practically the same K-temp to be technical. Just more of each color delivered at a higher intensity per watt.

Platinum 12 band spectrum from UV to IR, check out this video of my grow room, I have my p600 (350W) in there and if keeps up being sammitched between 2 600W MHs!

I use it for spectrum, my 600Ws are there for intensity.

I was but the top of the door of the garage has a crack and Im gonna put a fan to blow it out. I live in oregon so the temps stay pretty cool for the most part, I have an air register near the bottom in the back of the room that is against a lot of concrete behind so it draws cool air even on a warm day :) there is even a cold water pipe near it too its actually perfect lol.... as for insulation I will see about putting up some foam after the first run, I'm tapped out on this one lol, spent like another grand, all I had was the p600 and 1 cool tube before and the rdwc setup cost like 300 a month before this.. gonna see where this takes me first lol

Hey guys, I want to produce some bud for an extract asap, for one ill patient, aero, 5,9ft x 2ft flower area, same area for the moms( want to have 3-4 moms), I want to do sog, can somebody help me out, what would be best in terms of efficiency and g/w ? I want to have at least 330-400w setup 50ˇ%+ efficient better 59- 60+, I thought about 10 cxbs 3590s or more cxbs 3070 or twice that amount of vero 29s but Im not sure if they can perform well in these means. I also thought about combination of cxbs and 5000k vero 29s for veg only. I would be very much thankful for the advice about what would be best possible option for me in terms of cobs and drivers.
Dont want to be sugar coated but, thank you guys have a great hopefully sunny day :D btw I would not mind other cobs like citizens or osram if they are good for veg or even for flowering if they meet goot g/w ratio , efficiency .

Hi

I'm really interested what could be done to replace a 400w lamp in a 60x60 micro scrog.

I'm using a wide spectrum bulb at the moment and considering going to dual bulbs at the end of my next grow so building an LED array will really work to replace that purchase.

I'm competent in wiring, soldering and general DIY so that shouldn't be an issue. All I need is a list of parts (UK ideally, or international supplier) and I'll build from some simple plans :hump:

Having searched through the thread the only mention I can see of such small setups is people pointing and laughing at the small size!

Correct it's an Amare. I'm flowering with 2 of them and monos only on another for veg. Once they get big enough I'm going to do 4 plants per light. 3 lights total. But I must say the ones under monos only are killing the cmh315

Good information. I wondered how they'd fair in a vegative comparison as the CMH's are some of the best known veg lights. Good to hear. I'll be setting my SE-450 up for veg soon too. Only flowered with it so far & like 10 days veg on big plants.

Victor contacted me about a new veg light but there was problems on my end where I couldn't see photos. Then the whole kind bs I'm holding off a little. Anyways it's a 3 cob with monos again but with the 6500k option on the cobs. I might even consider the se-250 for veg with 6500k cobs if that's possible. When I see further veg results it will be easier to make the decision on what I'll do.

All good, curious what the guts look like, on both (rubs hands scheming)
I'm on the east coast if you want me to drop one by.

Rofl. It's fooling everyone smo! Sorry man I just thought this was hilarious.
I'm not doubting it's a good light. You can understand why I chose Amare from my previous comments though. I emailed Eco about 22 hours ago and still no response. Not the service I'd like to see.
