So you're saying those are the brands with the most quality which produces the best harvest? I'm spending some serious coin on LED's soon to try them and I DO NOT want to buy some bullshit and try to take it back. It seems like every brand i look at though theres 5 good things 5 bad things....

I'm trying to grow like 24 plants veg then flower and get at least 6 pounds. So waht lights would YOU use...
LUXdynamics manufacturers a luminaire with variable spectra, controlling veg and flower spectrums independently, with the ability to introduce blended spectra at different stages of plant growth. Might be something that satisfies your objectives. www.luxdynamics.com

This has definitely been answered before and for asking this a second/third/fourth time i do apologize. I'm looking at purchasing a COB led light 600-800 watt for a 4x4 tent. What are the best COB's? 100 watt, 200 watt? I know they are cheap to make, but as of pretty recently they are cheap to buy now as well. http://www.ebay.com/itm/800W-COB-LED-Grow-Light-Full-Spectrum-Flower-LED-Hydroponics-Indoor-Plant-Lamp-/172061735230?hash=item280fadb93e:g:QzYAAOSwiwVWTS9F

Any advice? Is this 800 watt too good to be true?

YES. It is total junk and a waste of money. Look companies like PLC, Tasty, A51, Timber, and others that are discussed here. These are all higher priced than that crap light, but well worth it, or learn to build your own. That can be learned here also.

Invest the time to research Cree and vero based grow lights and you will know how silly the question seems to most here. Read the last 50 pages of just this thread and you will be able to make a decision to build or buy a fixture that wil actually work.

Damn, I hate blurple.

This product is shit, not the shitz!

I really hate to get too specific. The good ones advertise here. Couple hours of research and you can answer that to your own satisfaction. Have fun.

I need a light right now, I'm in a time crunch. I have done a good amount of research. There's a ton of info on this stuff (led, cob, spectrum, data) enough to literally teach a class. I had a order go south with a vendor and need a new light ASAP. I have a 4x4 grow tent I am currently vegging in. I don't like how the plants are responding to the Mars. I have only used HPS and MH before this and was attracted to it due to the low energy consumption. I made the mistake of buying a 300 watt Mars which ill probably use for supplementary lighting. I shouldn't have jumped the gun, but I saw a few successful grows and figured it would work. I don't have a ton of money to spend. I'm looking for a 600-800 watt COB light for under $300. ANY HELP IS MUCH APPRECIATED>>>BLESSINGS

Diy can work if you have average skills and dexterity. Otherwise, spend the money to supplement and ultimately replace what you now have. Do it a little at a time if you must. $300 to $400 can get you started with lights well known here. Lights that will give you back your investment quickly.

The people that make several of these great lights follow this forum and will probably show up soon. Different makers cover price points across the spectrum with Tasty, optic and a51(if available) cover some lower price points. PLC and Timber are a bit higher in market target but are well done. I know there are some I missed but these are ALL good options.

I hate blurple, I just do

I want to get the best results possible. where is THE BEST tutorial for making a DIY ? I would like to have about 300-400 true watts of power for my 4x4 darkroom. %100 organic and the little ones are off to a slow start under the mars 300w (actual 140w). If there is a 300-400 watt COB light that is premade w/ full spectrum, under $300, please let me know!!!!! I apologize if i come across as uninformed, the LED's are relatively new to everyone and having a full time job/family make it difficult for me to put in the 100's of hours of prep time/knowledge acquisition. I've f***** up now twice with the lighting (mars 300 was the better one LOL). Lesson learned!!!!

It's time to get one that serves its purpose.

Check the advertisers here, message them, they will answer and get a light to you fast. Stop typing and shop! You can get one coming your way this afternoon. Gather it up and make a good decision here.

If they advertise on RIU I think you are good to go! Check the names mentioned above. Rahz is here right now, maybe others.

Bonjour
I am not sure it is actually cxb 3590!
Bit if it is they drive them very high...maybe max current...it says 60lm/w...don't buy it or ask them if it is really high bin cxb in it and if you can have it in 1400mA......alibaba!...!?!?
As the others said you should go for tastyled/Pacificlightconcept/johnsongrowlight/heavenbright/gogreenled...they use all good part...about the same...cxb/meanwell/hsusa/wago...etc so it is just a question of price and design!
But for less than 300$ :(...!?!?!
A 200w (4 ×50w) cxb 3590 panel will cost 350/370$ and could pull 1.5gpw in organic soil! (1.2/1.3 easily! )
