are the 100w cobs on ebay good for a cheap way to get into these lights? 60$ per cob seems a bit much, and would 4 3590s be better then a tasty t2 2100?
You could double the output of that for the same price if you DIY, and spread the light over a greater area.

I'm sort of cheating because these Citizen cobs are new and hard to get ahold of, but this is a 50,000 lumen light you could order right now. Also sort of cheating because it's 70CRI, but whatevs.

Oh and PS: screw ebay cobs.

Edited to add obviously you'd need money to wire and hang these, probably another $50 depending on what you have. It'd be possible to run 9 lights if you got an HLG-185H for $4 more and ran 5 cobs on that one, plus the $12.50 for another light. Nice and square.

Also edited to add my personal build total came out to maybe $150 less than a 4 lamp Tastyled build but has no lenses, or box, or switches and IEC ports and all that nice infrastucture. They are a great deal, and obviously a labor of love. Same with PLC, NGL, and the rest.

What do you guys recommend to someone who wishes to plant 4-6 plants at a time?
Pretty hard to answer since you could have 4-6 plants in practically any room size. Light and space are your limiting factors.

A good rule of thumb might be 25-50W per square foot depending (a lot) on the light.

I thought that since im using a grow box that reflects the led lights, the size wouldnt be so important. Any unused light would be reflected until its absorbed by the plants. Am i wrong?

Unfortunately, I dont have budget for that. I live in Brazil and im paying 60% taxes on top of the full price.
I was looking for something on the U$300 range, maybe a little more if its worthy.

Could you explain in a few words why there is such a elastic range in the led prices?
What i am getting from a $600 model that i dont get from a $200 one?

If i understand the differences, i could be willing to buy a better one.

Not that either of these are good but the small one is a "600" watt and the larger one is a "1000" watt. Either one is way big or the other is way small. Now that you see a major difference I can also say, its better to go with a company that spends most of its time in research and not advertising.

The big light below does exactly that, advertise the shit out of the lights like they are some miracle. But they are just the opposite, they are cheap, with cheap parts, poor efficiency, and they cost 1700$ each. The smaller one is inexpensive and definitely a lower quality itself.

Most lights sold on eBay or Amazon that state massive wattage and have a super inexpensive price are probably in the same class.

Efficiency is the one biggest factor on lights imo. Like the big one below being roughly 20% efficient that means the plant is only seeing 20% of the actual wattage and in this case 150+- watts. The rest is heat which isn't wanted either.

With your budget and space I start researching Mars hydro. Or if you want cobs that budget look into dyi, if you can do that you'll get something that suits your needs plus you can build later.

Amare technologies! I wish I stumbled on them sooner myself. After months of hell with lighting and hundreds of hours in research I think I finally found my dream lights. Not to mention something about these lights seem to calm my OCD.
5 year warrenty prob helps :) lol. Feels like that's what it takes to weave through a lot Led Many great lights, few that fit what we really want.

Phone is acting up. I just saw the close up of the 450! I started to drool a little. 5 years is along time. I also did the same when I started my business. It worked in many ways. Gave people confidence and also kept me on my feet.
