Hm, funny you mention the Czech Republic- I am mostly Czech/Slovakian and actually have family over there. Honestly. I am an American at heart- deep down I absolutely love this country, I love our lands, I love the principles our country was founded on. I hate the country this is today.. but honestly I wouldn't rather be anywhere else, I just hope I'm never faced with such a situation where I'd have to seriously contemplate leaving- if forced into a situation where I would have to leave in the interest of self preservation- I would goto the Czech Republic (for stability reasons) or I would goto a very remote safe location- regardless of the overall location. :blsmoke: When it comes to that point, who cares.
 
Depending on the extent of the disaster (volcanic eruption, meteor strike, nuclear war) would all cause extreme cloud cover which would make the weather extremely unpredictable. Though initially the temperature would probably drop significantly all over the earth. Then after a few thousand years, the temperature may rise (think greenhouse effect) if the cloud cover remains.

i guess i'm playing the odds and figuring i'll most likely be killed outright in some kind of epic disaster.

Go to the mountains, It even says that in the Bible, but if you don't see it coming, then obviously it's too late. I just hope it's quick. I'd hate to wither away with cancer and radiation poisening. If they are going to drop the big one, drop it right on top of me.
 
I have 3 months of canned goods stocked up. I buy them when they are on sale.

I figure the calamity will either be resoled before 3 months end or I'll have been overrun by scavengers looking for food.

Buy an AK47 and a few hundred rounds to go with it, that might slow them down and if not, save a clip for your family and yourself

yeah for sure! for me when i say i want to go to czech is really because i think its a beautifull place, i love czech people too! america has alot of things to offer but its not the only place, and i dont think that anyone saying they want to leave is unamerican. i think if i were to stay here like say there were no way i could make it anywhere id stay on the west coast. california to washington lots of trees and mountains, and the beautifull pacific

I live in the country and I have a safe place...my son and I bought an old school bus from a junkyard and we buried it...dug a hole with a backhoe, stuck the school bus in..we did it for tornadoes...but it would be good for shtf.
But anyway you kids can calm down nothing is going to happen...:mrgreen:

I completely agree- I don't mean if you want to leave you're "un-american" in anyway. I'll leave if need be- my family over my country. Plus, the US is NOT all the world has to offer, and prolly the best things are out of this country..

The Czech Republic is very beautiful though, I have to agree. :hump:

Cool thread, Milf. This is a very good question. Right now, I'm trying to get right by God as my only preparation. That is all you can or need to do if it's the rapture-as in the second coming of christ.

But what if it's not the coming of Christ but a nuclear bomb or natural disaster?
Well, in that situation, I guess I would get a gun and just start jackin niggas:shock: LoL Just joking about that last part.
 
gold is the way to go. if i won the latto thats at like 75 mil i would but a shit load of gold...the american money is losing its worth way to fast not to. plus gold its like $900 an ounce now

I personally believe that if hilary or obama gets in the white house our gun right to own a gun is shot to shit so im stocking up on my guns and ammo cause hilary is already talking about passing a law to make it illegal for a household to posses more than 2 firearms i have quite a few more then that...gonna be funny tho police gonna come to our houses down south and they gonna get a response of bullets when they ask us for ours:)
