If my PFTEK cake has a little mold, that didnt spread and i cut it off!! Can i Eat

can i eat the mushrooms it produced the mushrrooms wernt anywhere near the mold and the mold spot hasnt done anything for 2 weeks

man im gonna say you should chuck it, eating contamed mushies is not something your gonna want to do..

I have heard of cats doing what your asking and i have heard it going both ways, some are fine, some get sick as hell....DURING A TRIP... and thats not really a great place to be mentally when your that sick.

i mean whats it like a few bucks worth of substrate, or 6 hours of blowing chunks outta both ends?? up to you ultimatelty....

Mold = Ruined

even a tiny bit.
even if you cut it off.
even if it doesn't seem to be harming anything.
even if you've done it before and nothing bad happened.
don't tempt mother nature. She will turn your humor to sand.
it be ruined....be rid of it.

contaminated shrooms can have alot of bad bad effects, even the mildest of just being sick while tripping can have a long term effect on your mind like panic attacks. and the worse can be blindness and downright poison

Truth is that it depends on the mold. Trichoderma is fine, you eat it all the time anyway, if it is a mold with aflatoxin then you would be best not even to breath the spores let alone eat anything it was near. If you don't know the difference, chuck it.

i was going with the assumption that this guy dont know the diff between molds with the naked eye, better safe then sorry

If the fruits look fine, there fine to eat. Just don't eat anything that's rotting or has mold or bacteria growing on the actual fruit... If it looks like a healthy fruit and smells normal, your fine. Toss the substrate asap though.
