If I started some new beans today is there any chance that the plants would be done by Christmas? I have a decent grow box and 168 total CFL watts ( 4x42w bulbs ).

Yes, yes you can be done by christmas...Start them beans! You're not gonna have a long veg time at all, but as long as you switch 'em to 12/12 around the 10th-15th of october, you might have some bud ready to smoke christmas morning, depending on the strain.

That's good to know. I planted my beans on the 2nd or 3rd. Here's to a Stony Christmas and a Hashy New Year!

Sure you can. Just start your 12/12 9 weeks or so before Christmas. Should even give you a week to dry. No time to cure though.
