if i got raided and my dog attacked one of the drugs squad what would happen??

they would shoot her/him. i had a buddy who's dog got shot the fuck up when he rushed the cops that were on the property. my buddy was the one who called the cops for a dispute, his dog got loose and went towards the cops and got shot many times. so i am sure that they wouldnt hesitate for a "drug dealer's" dog.

here in the states its actually considered assault on an officer... its the same as if a person would punch an officer... dont know if its the same over in your neck of the woods or not.. the minimum that would happen is your dog would be taken away and put to sleep... the most likely situation, as was said, it gets shot and killed on site... either way its no good... i hope no one ever has to deal with that situation tho... i got 4 dogs and would be devastated if anything would happen to any of them...

There was just a case like this in the US where a house was raided and the dogs ran and hid under furniture and cowered and the cops chased them and shot one while hiding under a kitchen table and not sure where the other was hiding but the dogs back was even to the cops and they shot him too. They were just mid sized happy dogs noboby would be afraid of like collies or something. Saddest part about that case was it was the wrong house or a bad tip. Their dogs were killed for nothing.

im sure they dont carry guns in the UK, my dog is my best freind its very freindly with me and my wife but she is very very protective of my house and hates strangers i cant let any one come to my house because she goes mad . id rather not grow than risk having anything happen but i think a baby gate would slow her down enough untill id get out of bed to control her

in the cops defense though, if i had a pitbull or something big rushing me and i had a gun, my aim would be right between the eyes. i love dogs, i have two myself, one being a pit, but ya gotta protect yourself. shooting small dogs that you could fight off though is fucked up.

It's not that hard to grab any dog though I don't get why they don't have an officer on raids dressed for dog control with padding or a net or something ready to tackle and contain any dog. It's not that hard to grab the largest and meanest of pitbulls/rottie's even without padding if you are trained how.
Dogs aren't clever and we are just as fast and strong as they are, just grab them before they grab you and shove them in a dog crate. It takes time to get a warrant and they sure as fuck do recon before raids so they know if there's a dog in there before they ever enter the home.
They could come prepared with other means than killing.
In fact hostile raids aren't even necessary any longer they could secretly slip a gas in the house to put everything and everone to sleep and enter the house safely at their leisure.

why cant u train your dog to defend your own property? thats bs, how was the dog supposed to know it was cops not a killer or rapist? u have the right to defend your property.
so if their was no command given from u to attack the police they cant get u for assualt. they might try but a competent lawyer will be able to get it dropped or amended or something

oregonmed, you really cant be serious. the cops are kicking your door in and you are gonna grab the dog? as for the cops bringing an animal officer? yes, exactly what i want my tax dollars going for, another useless cop busting up a harmless grower. two of our finest arrested 2 14 yr olds for riding their bike past curfew....it was 10:30pm. i know we need cops but if these 2 clowns worked for me making roughly $45K....they would have been fired and forced to go on the obama plan.
btw so i am not accused of stealing a thread, dead dog. i actually had a game warden threaten to shoot a dog i was hunting with. my buddy said to him, "you shoot my fucking dog and the medics will find your body right next to his". one of the funniest lines i ever heard while hunting and this crazy lunatic would have shot him

I wasn't saying raid are a good thing Jeff merely that they have better options currently if they are going to do that rather than kill the dog. As far as costs go they don't raid a home with less than a dozen officers, one or two could be dog catchers instead of machine gun armed fucks.
I am completely against drugs being illegal for the record... Maybe meth only because of how sick it is but nothing else should be illegal for adults.

Only way they don't shoot the dog is if it is in a secure cage. This would prove the dog couldn't harm them. I have a rottie but don't use her as "protection" for my house. Mind you she will kill or die for my house but I wouldn't allow either. That is my job to protect my family and my home so she stays in a gated room when not with me. If you think that you're going to be grabbing your dog when they come you're wrong. Even if you have time to grab your dog they will be grabbing you. Your dog defends you or not it's still most likely dead. My advice is just get a cage or don't break the laws.Similar threads
