If I Crash The Forklift....

If i have a script, and I crash the forklift, and get sent down for a piss

test, and fail, can I be fired? I understand that driving a forklift would be

a safety sensitive position, which brings me to my next question. If I can get fired, am I eligible for unemployment benefits?

no aslong as u got a script but they could find something else to fire u in the future and if so depends on what they get u for

I was good and mine was at walmart also say you only take your meds at home when your not working thats what i did cause there going to ask

america that you would have to look into from cali now in jersey if you work in a right to work state then you’d have to worry about being fired for some other bs where you on your meds while working if so do they know that if not you should be fine. I’d google where ever your from to find out.

Thats up to you either way there going to find out just make sure that you always got doc’s/card when they call u in how much damage did it cost them and remember when they ask if u where on ur meds at the time deny

but if they don't give a reason to fire me i can collect unemployment. im thinking that by not bringing them a doctors note telling them that the medication i take will alter my ability to operate the forklift, and me knowing this, would disqualify me from getting UI bene's, if i was fired for a piss test

id just find a new job, if your in the sf area hydrofarm is usually looking for forklift operators in the warehouse

The best way to find out is if it happens ask the HR person at the place that fired you. They can tell you whether or not they will deny your unemployment place.
If you work at a big one chain call another one nearby and ask their HR person the policy without identifying yourself. The HR person is the one who knows whether or not you will get your unemployment. They have to approve or deny paperwork when you file, as far as I know.

Bullshit. Don't give advice on something this important when you have no fucking idea what you are talking about.

Until a legal precedent is made in court, or a bill is passed, they can cleanly fire your ass for testing positive for thc, doctor's note or not.
