ive been out scouting for the upcoming spring/summer grow and i havent found any good openings for plots, but ive found a few spots that are good for 1 - 3 buckets its really nothing but thick all sized oak trees with little to none brush and no people for miles i suppose i am gonna have to keep scouting to find spots that isnt crowded and cut some trees down but i was wondering if this is a good idea or no? anyone advice would be much appreciated :joint:

Anyone got any ideas
depending on the location really... round where i grew up if you chopped down a tree to grow a plant you can be 100% positive some kid or adult for that matter will investigate why it fell and if it falls on a angle maybe clime on it and see your grow... personally i look for the small trees out of everyone's view and reach go into them and chop 3 maybe 4 down for a opening. but im south easy uk might be different where you at bro. peace

its thickish woods and in the spring/summer there will be all kinds of leafs high high up, i would probably have to chop down a few trees either way

Great idea, make sure you only use a hand saw, a chain saw will attract people, use one of these and make it a good one. imagesCA52WYOO.jpg

marijuana plants dont need sunlight from sunrise to sunset, they can take it but they will thrive in areas with a lot less sunlight also. 5-6 hours of direct sunlight is still great. When I try to make new plots, I try to disturb the forest as little as possible. Plants have a natural look to them, when you got a big freshly cut tree sticking out in the middle of the forest, its gonna draw some attention. Your also just giving yourself extra work, just hauling soil and amending all the crap together is a workout in itself let alone trying to cut down a tree. I would just spend another day taking a big ol stroll. Its all about stealthiness of the plot, you have to think if anybody else will visit this location other then you? I suggest southern faced hills, thats where all the suns at, and your usually completely hidden from the north side. Remember the woods become alot thinner during the winter, Its like a whole different area once spring comes again, it turns into a jungle, really thick. hope that helps.

there really is no way around it, imma have to cut a tree or a few but im not doin really big plots just a lot of really small ones, i have planned on spending more time scouting spots when its sunny out

i kno its gonna look different when everything is green outside

im doing the same thing you are, i found a nice spot wayyyy back in the middle of nowhere, but from my house it only takes 10 minutes hiking it. the only tip i really have is make sure you dont leave a path

a path really is no thing for me i always go in at different areas and leave out different areas im so far out in the middle of nowhere if i wanted and i might put 2 fem in 2 10 gal buckets and set up at the side of my place where the sun hits all day long

Im going to be planting outside next month, what size pots are you going to use to start the plants?
or are you going to start them in the 10 gal buckets?

not sure yet i know a more then likely ill have 2 fem ICE plants in 10 gal buckets next to the house and ill probably put a few gdp x ice in small bucket plot areas ive found and a bunch of mexican weed seeds in random dirt plots threw out the woods

i am gonna probably do em all inside first give em a fighting chance and move em out as the weather gets good

Brother, I have spent most of my life in the bush. If someone cuts a tree, a branch, and I walk by there, I WILL notice. If I notice, I will investigate. Period. The further away you are, the more suspicious it looks.

Touch everything if you want, just make sure it still looks like you've touched nothing!

Good luck with your grow.

Check out www.flashearth.com for satellite and aerial images of areas near you. The bush is very thick where I live too, but I found a few sites that deserve further investigation once it gets a little warmer out.
