Identifying rust mold

Hi! I'm having some yellow/orange/Brown spots on leaves, they also dry out. I think it may be nutrient burn but I was wondering is there a rule of thumb to test for rust mold? For example, will it rub Brown dust on my fingers?

Also, Is smoking bud from a plant with rust mold dangerous for your health?

Can I spray the buds down with a baking soda solution like the one recommended for rust treatment? I noticed some of those white hair finger pre-bud things turned brown after my first baking soda foliar feeding.

Thanks so much for your help.

I'm pretty sure it's rust mold. Is it still safe to smoke the more mature buds or will I get moldy lungs? Should I burn and sanitize everything and start over? So disappointing this is my first grow.

The ones I separated from the tent seem to be bouncing back, the ones in the tent getting worse (unless all my baking soda water is just giving it severe alkalinity.) Should I try neem oil and garlic for a couple days or give up now?

Brown Rust spot is a fungus not a mold, need pictures? Try copper fungicide for best results

PT, the only way you're going to get an accurate diagnosis is letting us see with our own eyes. Good luck with your grow

Thanks! If I assume it's rust FUNGUS what should I do? I'm comfortable coppering the vegetative girls but how about my pineapples? They're 3 feet high and full of beautiful delicious smelling nuggets that I was just fixing to flush and dry. :( They seem better now out of the tent by a window.

Has anyone ever heard of someone having a medical issue from this stuff? Or does that just happen because most people are smart enough to not smoke it? Can I cook coconut oil with it?

Can be used right up to harvest, (directions say that for tobacco as well) works way better than baking soda from my experience, and I Bud wash too..

If you're reluctant to post pictures Google septoria & brown leaf spot and see if it looks like what you're dealing with before you start treating, be aware it looks a lot like a Calcium deficiency, look for the black ring around the brown circle, good luck

If we are guessing without pics my money is on necrotic spots not rust mold.
Very possibly, it looks like a lot of other things, I guess should probably ask op about the humidity? Really do need pictures for things like this

Op, I've never noticed the brown spot on the bud, it usually affects the larger older fan leaves, so to your question yes it's smokeable, try Bud washing, google cervantes/Bud washing on YouTube, but first make sure what you got going on is brown spot ?

The humidity's generally fine in the tent, high 40s. The room was too crowded and the fan was turned down to get the tent walls to not suck in so much. I though the original Brown spots were nutrient burn but they spread across the plant and then from plant to plant like an infection. I took the 2 older maturer ones out and moved them elsewhere and they look great now. The 2 in the tent that were gorgeous late veg a couple days ago are orange now and like I said I think some of that was me overreacting with baking soda water. I should've protected the growing medium or sprayed less, my runoff ph was a travesty afterwards.
