i have a 45 gal tote which is fine in terms of surface space, but it's too damn tall. it's about 24 inches high so that cuts my vertical growth space a lot.

where can i find low profile totes, like 12 inches. if only i can find a 3x3x1 container with lid!

im brain storming how to make my own tote but haven't figure it out yet so it doesn't leak :-(

If you find one let me know. I'm using a 35 gallon to grow 6 plants, and eventually a 10 gallon for 2 mothers.
Do they all get jumbled together with overgrowth ? Or are the cups far enough apart ?

I'm having some issues with having 4 in a 10gallon res, there's no room!

I thought about a larger res, but 35 gallon of nute solution is a bit much for me. I like the 5 gallon route.... but am always open to new ideas.

GOOD THREAD.

10 gal is way too small for 4 plants.. i have 3 plants in a 45 gal and hesitated to plant 4 of them (orginal plans) so i decided on 3 plants. one far left, middle and far right. that gives them about 12 inches of room apart. going to try to see how big they will get without interfering with one another.

I only have 2 in the 10 gallon tank. I have 6 plants in my 45 gallon tank, but only use 6 gallons in it. The plants intermingle but I still get enough air flow around them. I also anticipate removing a few of them soon. I started from seed so I should get a few males.

i think that if you get two "S"(small) rubbermaid tubs and use them together. the only way i can think about is putting a pvc pipe at the bottom of the two tubs connecting the two tubs together with holes for the pvc pipe together. to seal it i assume us cauk or w/e but something to bind plastic together for NO LEAKS around the pvc pipes.....

but anyways thats my suggestion let me know if u try and it works!:bigjoint:

Ikea has some, not sure where you are located. I too am looking for something low profile, short to the ground.
