Ice Water last 2 weeks?

Why? Sounds like more cannabis broscience.
Well I've read and watched several different people do it to help increase trichome production and trick the plant in to finishing. Thought I would give it a try. So far it seems like it definitely makes the trichome production explode and helps bring out some color. Was just curious if anyone else has gave it a shot.

So youtubers say the trichs explode with cold water?

I may be a fool, but I think this is actually partly true. I think the only thing it can do is make it more colorful, but not put out more trichs. If anything it's probably the opposite, since the purple colors are coming from the plant lacking P.

I wouldn't put the ice on top if you want to experiment. I'd just use ice water to water. Get it as cold as possible and let us know the results. I'm curious, but I bet they might develop a little more purple colors. I don't know, but I like to experiment with shit like this, lol.

I would doubt it does anything for trichs. THC production is a response to UV light, so I don't see how cold could do anything for that. It is possible that it could have an effect on terpine production, but I haven't researched enough of why cannabis produces it's particular terpines. This may work for terpines because the cold at the roots is going to trick the plant into thinking that the cooler weather/frost is coming so it's moving mobile nutrients out of the leaves and into the buds, which is why you're seeing a color change. This is the same reason why deciduous trees change colors. They move their mobile nutrients back into the tree from the leaves until spring.

TLDR: Most likely increased flavor, unlikely increased potency with this. Most people equate the two.

It was just a question to see who may be giving this a try. I use to think Reddit was the most toxic place online. Nope. It's definitely this place. Somebody always has a smart ass comment to say even if they've never given something a try. This place is basically a citadel of old dogs that refuse to learn new tricks. "Oh that sounds dumb yet I've never tried it" seems like the mindset with most here. How about inject your lives with some positivity and stop getting off on trolling.

Don’t forget to split your stem and mix feces into the top of your soil. My bro said it increases the thc content by 20%.

This YouTube guy said the same too.

I'm an old dog and I have learned a shitload of new tricks here....awesome tips & tricks I might add!!

I have a friend who grows outdoors and swears his plants are better after a few light frosts, so maybe cold does do something.

But yeah, you have to learn who to take advice from...and then proceed with caution.

Cool. I'll ask your mom how she does it after she is done licking my nuts
And who's toxic????

There's new tricks and then there is cannabis broscience nonsense. This is cannabis broscience nonsense.

And the only color it brings out is in the leaves which you trim off anyway unless you smoke fan leaves.

How about learning about plant physiology rather than watching some dude on youtube. It will benefit you in the short and long term.

I get it's the internet and all but for fucks sake what is the point of trolling every post instead of saying something constructive? Because I'm trying something I've read about online and seen some YouTubers do it that's grounds to poke fun with your nose in the air? Some of these people must live some miserable lives. Which is sad af. Isn't weed suppose to make you happy?

I'm very happy. I just don't give a hoot about what some dude on youtube says. Youtube is the WORST place to get cannabis growing information. Every BroScientist without a clue is putting up vids. Many completely contradict proven science. It's pure comedy. If I want to laugh I'll watch some Key and Peele clips.
