also unless your water is waaay off , you do not need to ph it at all .... thats a complete waste of money an time an does more harm then it does good. let your soil take care of the ph.

8 is fine , the soil will buffer it down where it needs to be. my tap comes out bout 8 and after food its about 4 , so thats a huge range and the soil will always take care of it for me. (healthy soil)

The more you start leanin towards "instant foods" , the more you need to worry bout the ph. As long as you stay 75% organic then the soil will always buffer itself.
Soil will buffer the instant foods too , but when/if a salt buildup occurs then that will throw the medium way off.

i completely agree patsfan , if they start gettin lime green or yellow then something is up and its time for more N , but in those pics i dont see a damn thang wrong.

Hah I have a few plants doing this same exact thing. The very bottom leaves (not the caldyeons or whatevery they are called) are starting to turn a brownish. I also burried up the stem when i replanted so im hoping its just from where those bottom leaves have been laying on the dirt. Will watch it over the next week. Lots of good advice in here though.

wyteboi what soil are you using?
they call me soil ...... i hate the name wyteboi , i just took it over from a friend a few years back for this forum. either way , call me whatever you feel is right !

i use homemade soil. I started off with happy frog then kept recycling it till it became MY soil.
I have a worm bin an a compost bin, those are a must when recycling dirt.

i take old dry used dirt an mix a lot of fresh worm castings in it , some perlite for air , an then i mix all my powder foods in there , water it real good with EM an a tiny bit of molasses , cover it an let it "cook" for about 2 weeks before using. (a month would be better)
also every few days or maybe a week i will remix it all up just to get fresh air in there. and when your remixing you can feel the warm heat comin out of the tote , an that is all the beautiful microbes turning powders into usable plant food.........

then i put it into the pot add a sprinkle of mycorrhizae , add the plant an water only till the food runs out.

every few cycles (or when i remember) i put a spoon of dolomitic lime per pot, to keep the ph right.

hey thanks soil! just wrote all this down im sick of throwing out dirt. thanks you have been a big help!
if you take the time to read about soil and the "soil food web", there is so much good info out there.

also if you dont take the time to "cook" reused dirt then it might contain pathogens from your last grow ........ but with proper care the good bacteria will eat the bad bacteria.

glad i could help ya pats fan even though i hate the pats !

your ice is beautiful ! very healthy.

i can already tell i like the phat cat shit better then the ice. (where in the hell did phat cat come from ?)

that is not a very good pic of the harvested shit at all so i might be wrong but it look as if it is kinda premature ?

Thanks man, the phat cat came from a local person that I don't know as a clone. So unfortunately I don't know the genics but I also like the phat cat more, wait till I upload the new veg pics. Super strong strain. Ya sorry about the harvest pics. It may have been a little early but they flowered for 8 weeks so I chopped. Next time I will be letting them go longer/will be using a magnifier to check when they r truly rdy...
