Your mother plant may not turn hermi, your clones may be succeptable to stress forcing a hermi. Basically the seeds you buy have been dipped in hormones to force it to be female. I think colloidal silver will do the same as well. When they do the hormone treatment it alters the genetics a bit, it can produce some crazy buds too. Farmers have been doing it for years with corn and other crops. It should not go hermi on it's own though.:bigjoint:

PPP is a good strain, very hearty... A slower grower and has a longer flower than 8/10 weeks. Other grows on this site complain about finishing time. It will produce massive buds though, I believe somewhere in it's genetic line is big bud. Good plant to start with and learn patience. Expect it to get very tall and need to be restrained to grow even buds throughout the plant, My 600W HPS would not penetrate more than 17" of the canopy so a 5-6 ft plant is worthless to me.

Autoflowering strains are also great to start with.
 
ive read a couple of people on here and icmag saying the smoke isnt all that from the 'ice ' .....but probally from growers mistakes and not genetics .
 
Im a new grower here but I have 2 ice seeds that went into the soil bout a week ago the plants look healthy they just are shorter then I was hopping. I have them under a 400w HPS system and a 100w CLF to trying and speed them up to my other grow. I'll add pics once i get my camera working. I hope the ICE comes out better then it did for others.

dam nothing out of ten seeds fuck that id go green house seeds i trust them but i have been growing bag seed for a while i hate how it like all sativa from mexico bud but alot of its dank
