These are about as efficient as an LED bulb with the diffuser taken off. 6 LED bulbs at 1600lm/w = 9600 lumens or exactly the same amount as this 80w bulb you linked.
The real difference is that 6 LED bulbs cost maybe $30 vs the bulb you linked being $92 on sale. You can buy 2, 3, 4 or even 5 pronged extensions and plug multiples bulbs into one socket for maybe $5 each. Here's one that holds 7 for $5.95.
That bulb will work fine...it's just very expensive for what it gives you.
