http://www.amazon.com/Simer-2305-Geyser-Submersible-Utility/dp/B0009XB7M8 It is this one. Its rated 1260 GPH. I'm not using it for anything NEAR that size. I was thinking possibly using that in a 5 gal with PVC angled down to a smaller shallow rubbermaid with more PVC and aero spinners to clone. I only need a few sites, just about 20. I'm trying to keep it small because its going in a 2' x 4' x 5' tent thats going to be veg, clone, mother, pollen collector all in one. I can do a timer on it 15 on, few hours off if needed, but it would still clean that bucket out in 15 minutes time. 1260 gph/60 min/h = 21 gpmin/ 15 minute cycle = 5.25 gpcycle. All the reviews say this is an extremely durable pump and one guy says he has the original from 1987 and it still works. Mine does not look like the pic, but its the exact same model number. So I believe I have the same one. Thanks to anyone that can help. I'd +rep if I could, but I still got a ways to go. :-P I'm trying to do something like this. https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=40055

too strong for a 5gal. youll have jets comeing out the sprayers. but i would oversize, something 500gph and above should be sufficient. make sure to get some type of filtration for sediment going on tho.... the aeros downside. i just bubble clone, takes more space and time to get cuts but with 100% i cant complain.

I'm going to try and clone coco tomorrow or next feeding, I'm trying to correct a P deficiency before I take cuttings off my one. I found a new method might work. I don't want to buy another pump, I just had this one laying around and figured I might be able to put it to good use.

Jman: you might want to RTFB as most of the sources I'm listing below will answer your questions and a lot that you don't know yet to ask. I really think you;re better off cloning with rock wool cubes, a good treatment of rooting hormone, in a humidity dome, under a fluorescent light. It's the easiest and most dependable way I've found. I really wish there was an easier way, but from what you ask, I’d suggest you refer to the following resources, particularly: Cervantes, Rosenthal and Green.
1. Read: SeeMoreBud’s, “MARIJUANA BUDS FOR LESS- GROW 8 OZ. OF BUDS FOR LESS THAN $100.” It’s a must for beginning dirt gardeners especially those using CFL’s.
2. You might also want to read: Mc McCarthy’s, “GROWING MARIJUANAIt’s another good text for dirt gardeners.
3. Read: Jorge Cervantes’s, “MARIJUANA HORTICULTURE THE INDOOR/ OUTDOOR MEDICAL GROWER’S BIBLE.” It’s great for both dirt and hydro.
4. Read: Ed Rosenthal’s, “MARIJUANA GROWER’S HANDBOOK It’s very complete.
5. “THE CANNABIS GROW BIBLE- SECOND EDITION,” written by Greg Green, is easily a match, if not better than the ones listed above.
6. You should also subscribe to, “HIGH TIMES magazine. Each issue is full of useful information and excellent photography.
7. You might also want to subscribe to www.gardenandgreenhouse.net. It’s free and they offer a monthly news letter that always has a lot of good information, especially for newbies.
8. A lot of local hydroponics stores offer free weekend gardening classes. Admittedly they offer these classes as a means of boosting sales but they also present some good information and they’re frequently taught by experienced gardeners.
All these resources are very well written, well illustrated and packed with information that will answer most of your questions before you know to ask them. Doing your homework before you start to grow by consulting these resources will save you and your plants a lot of stress. These forums are great but often they’re the blind leading the blind and when you do get it from a knowledgeable source they frequently can’t get the information you need to you in a timely fashion. I sincerely hope this helps. HSA

I wouldn't use anything smaller than a 18 gallon container for a pump that physically large. Two 5 gallon homer buckets or tall kitchen garbage can may work. My main concern would be heat build up in small containers.

Aero cloning is awesome and very effective. It's 100% if the grower is competent.

I just got a large pump like that as my 22 nozzles had just a tiny upspray fro my 550 GPH fountain pump. I plan to put a faiucet on top then the hose to my sprayers so I can control how much water comes through. I have a rain timer that will spray 55 seconds every 12 monutes as well.

BS. It's only as good as the sprayer head coverage allows. I have a 5 gallon 20 site that has 2 distinct dead zones, no matter how you redirect some of the 270 heads. You could be Johnny Appleseed and not get anything to root in those dead zones. Poor design to be sure but any grower failing with it would need look no further than the moron who claims to be an expert that designed it.

I built a 32 site clonner out of an 18 gallon rubber maid container and got full coverage with 14 180* nozzles. You could get by with 4 180* and 4 360* nozzles in a 5 gallon bucket with ease. But IMO square containers work much better.
