We're kind of a apathetic bunch. So I'm curious on the amount of activism out there myself. Good luck.
Plus the man has his thumb down on it alot, so...

thanks eza though not exactly what im lookin for. im hoping to find an organization i can join and get others to join and hopefully make a change so that hemp can be legally cultivated in the states. its just so sad that money is more important to these porkers that lead this country than the future of our nation and world. hemp can save the entire world especially the united states! hemp can be used to make bio fuels to eliminate our dependency on oil for heat; it can be pressed into lumber and insulation for building homes which would eliminate deforestation; it can make bowls and plates for eating; it can make paper and clothes and shoes and rope and textiles and food and soap and shampoo and lotions and lip balm and bedding for livestock and so on etc.
another major benefit of hemp is that it doesnt require pesticides unlike cotton which requires tons (literally) of pesticides to get a "safe" harvest. THE ONLY REASON WHT ITS NOT LEGAL IS BECAUSE ITS A PLANT AND ITS NATURAL SO IT CANT BE PATENTED OR TRADEMARKED which would kill big oil and cotton and logging companies and so many other businesses. it would literally change life as we know it and make it so everybody could have a chance at a decent living not just the fat cats!

As far as I'm concerned right now no group is more likely to bring us legalization than Oaksterdam University. They have a very good chance to bring legalization to California in 2010. If successful other states will likely follow. They are a very friendly group always looking for new people who want to contribute to the cause.
