I topped this plant once , should I again or just let it do it's thing

I personally found LST more effective at increasing my plant's footprint quickly. Topping slows the plant down just a bit, Whereas LST causes ALL the growing tips tob compete to be the meristem, or top bud. If I can get my 'puter and camera to start working together again, I'll post pix on a grow thread.

If the nodes are still making two leaves per node (not alternating) then top it again. Once it starts alternating, I recommend you stop topping and just tie it down however you want if you want to at all because once the nodes start alternating, topping it won't divide it into two EVEN tops. the higher up one will usually be more vigorous. Takes a lot more work to keep them the same height at that point. Also, you will get bigger buds if you use this technique because the tips of the branches tend to have the main cola for that branch, while the smaller ones coming from the lower nodes , while they may be trained to be the same height, usually get noticably less "energy" or priority from the plant so the buds are smaller. You want as many branch tips as possible imo.

I tied this down and topped , is this effective ?

The side shoots will grow either way if the branches are horizontal. My personal preference is not to top. It just seems like I'm eliminating a grow site. Each stem wants to be the highest. LST is about keeping the stems balanced so energy is equally distributed evenly amongst the stems.

Many people top their plants. I think the practice is spread by word of mouth. I was isolated from the Cannabis community for a couple decades, and developed my own methods based on a lifetime of vegetable gardening and the sound wisdom of my grandparents(all 4 gardened). So, my ideas may sometimes differ from the popular wisdom.
