You are on the right track. But try spreading your bud on a flat plate and leaving it exposed for half a day.
Then back in the sealed jar for 12 hours. Give it more exposed time between burpings.

If the bud gets too crispy that is easy to fix. Easy way is to put some new, raw buds in with the crispy and seal for 20 minutes.
It doesn't take long for the moisture to spread out. If you don't have any new buds place a cup of hot water inside a large sealable
freezer bag along with the crispy. Few hours should do it. Check often.

Good luck, BigSteve.

A few drops of distilled water - and I do mean like 3 or 4 DROPS - in a whole ounce in a bag or jar. An hour or so - all is well. Or damned sure better than smoking what tastes and feels like dried tumbleweeds.

I don't have any problem with the buds being too dry. Like I said I just can't get the smell and taste the way I want it

Not seeing your buds. If you cut even a few days early the taste and odor suffer greatly. Or can. Weed harvested at its peak often reeks all the way through the dry. Bud that needed more time to fully develop will turn grassy.

he's talking about the actual chop down, If you pull early, you'll lose smell and taste, potency.

No I chop usually after nine weeks on plants that are 8 week flowering I'm gonna try to flushing more than just a few days before I chop what should the humidity be in the dry room?
