I think I'm a foodie

I love watching food shows, different foods. I love making different foods. I can't eat all that much but I am so enamored with everything about food

and local dishes and cuisines and different countries and different cuisines I think I'm in love with it.

I like to watch Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations on Netflix and Adam Richman's Man V Food. I like watching the foods be made and I like watching Adam

try to eat a ton of food when I know I couldn't barely eat a quarter of how much he eats. I like watching Tony Bourdain go to different countries and

different locales and learning their customs and the way they eat and the local food around there.

I wanted to share.

My name is Jon Blaze, and I am a foodie.

I'm a foodie to. When I see a Foodle, I raise an eyebrow, because there's not much food on one. If they called it a Yumle I might stay interested.

Ever seen Marcel's quantum kitchen? Its pretty intense that amount of insane food that he prepares. lol as far as cooking goes, I dont enjoy preparing a meal that takes longer to make then it takes to eat it.

I'm watching it right now. It's awesome for me because it gives me a good idea of places I might want to travel to.
I first watched him on a cruise many moons ago while I was waiting to do the emergency drills. Been hooked ever since. I have a book of his called Kitchen Confidential I've been meaning to read for awhile.

Haha, i looove food but eat next to nothing, and more often than not, nothing.

Last food show i watched was Unique Eats, some fun looking stuff, but god damn are the presenters an annoying bunch of cows. Gourmet food presented by brain dead illiterates who would be better suited to bloggin about celebrities than doing a tv show on food. The food is nice though :D

Hate cooking though, that might be because my job is cooking, i have a silly kitchen, no money for all the ingredients the recipe requires, no kitchen hardware to actually cook anything. As it stands i've not cooked anything that hasn't come straight out of the packet in a year or so :D Sod whipping up steaks and sides and sauces, pan fried steak on it's own will suffice :p I'm the same as stonerman, i'm not gonna spend an hour cooking somehting up, 20 minutes washing everything up, only for it to be eaten within 5 minutes of it hitting the plate.

I have acouple signature dishes I cook, but usually my wife does the cooking. Well when we're both not working our asses off and can enjoy a sit down dinner that is!

I'm not a guy who is belly up to the stove for hours a day but occasionally I'll put a turkey in the oven for a holiday and make some giblet gravy with it.

I just got on the job of frying foods here in my kitchen, but I can still use the grill outside for burgers or steaks.

Heh

That's exactly how we do it too. I do a couple things really well, and she does most of the cooking. It works for both of us too.

"
Chefs who smoke say that includes the marijuana itself.
“The quality of marijuana you’re getting, just like the quality of booze you’re getting and the quality of food you’re getting, is better,” Mr. Falcinelli said.
Although marijuana has long been a part of restaurant culture, its current prominence results, he said, from “a triple coincidence.”
More states are legalizing marijuana or offering medical marijuana plans, so there is more and better pot in circulation, Mr. Falcinelli and other chefs said. At the same time, diners are wild about high-end snacking: witness the rise of food carts and the elevation of humble dishes like pizza, hamburgers and pork buns.

The chefs of the haute stoner cuisine movement are just as obsessive about their marijuana as they are about olive oil, wine or coffee.

“It’s like getting the best cheese,” Mr. Falcinelli said. “I have like four or five different types of marijuana in my refrigerator right now.”

The sensibility extends to the latest wave of coffee culture. Coffee geeks are as infatuated with their Pacas varietal beans from Central America as pot users are with their sticky sinsemilla from Humboldt County in California. "
