I supercropped during "the stretch"

Hey all,
One of my ak48's is sativa dominant. She was stretching hardcore to the lights so I supercropped my 2 tops on day 14. Today is day 18 & she's spitting out white hairs like crazy from those tops so I'm assuming she's gonna be fine. I tied some twine around the stem near the top & have her anchored to the ceiling in the cab to take stress away from where I cropped her. My question is this. I used 2 sterile bandaids at where I supercropped her. Should I remove those bandaids in a week or so ? If I leave them on is it bad for the plant ?

remove them when it heals. i'd use gauze and wrap tape around the gauze from now on though, those band-aids might be a bitch to safely get off if they stay sticky, you dont want to re-break it taking the tape/band aids off.

Cool, Thank you for the input. I'll start misting her in a few days gently between the bandaid & stalk to help her loosen up the bandaid & get some of that tackiness out of there.

I'll definitely use gauze and wrap tape next time supercropping is called for. +rep

i tie down on every grow. after 4 to 5 days i remove the string, and they stay in place. this is the definition of training. if when you remove the ties, the plant doesn't stay, leave it on for a few more days and it will. you don't want to leave it on. the stem/branch could grow large enough to start making things tight and you don't want that.

i had this problem, transplanted in veg into 9 gallon pots, they grew like crazy for the next 2 weeks of veg, when i went to untie and retie them a couple branches snapped right off and the rest were weak, ddidnt tie it for a couple days to let the stems harden up...ended up making clones of the snapped branches.
The lesson learnt is to atleast weekly retie the branches, or just cut longer threads and loop em round the branches and tie the 2 ends that meet to the pot.
good luck

I just wanted to say I removed the bandaids with no problem. Does it look like it should still have a bandage on it ? The other top is holding it's own weight so I won't bother putting gauze & wrap tape on it. Just the one in the photo has me concerned.

Whatcha guys think ?

it looks fine to me.. i had to supercrop my last grow of sour cream, same thing, got way too tall during the stretch... i just left mine laying on the weird angle that they were at after i bent them.. they recovered just fine, and after a few weeks or so, the bend got really fat and thicker and did just fine during the rest of the grow.

It's only been 5 days since I did cropping. Does it need a bandage/brace put back on it or it's going to be fine just like the way it is ?
