really. you think heat, is that like heat i n the reservoir or heat from the light cause iv'e never seen heat from a light do that and my res is at 68-72 this is my first hydro grow so Im at a loss I am thinking it's a deficiency

I think your nutes may be a little to much. I had several of mine do that last grow and it was because I gave to much nute and wound up with nute burn. The leaves store all the extra and doesn't have the capability of processing all of them and the build up starts to "burn" the leaf..... I grow in soil so you may get dif advice from a fellow hydro guy.......

I had 13 seedlings and was misting them every day. They started to yellow and I tried giving them 1/8 strength nutes. They responded and started looking better overnight. I decided to use the nute again at 1/4 strength, they were about 3 weeks. The next morning the bottem leaves were covered in small yellow spots, they grew bigger and then turned brown like yours. I'm not there with you but I would say that looks identical to what mine looked like.... After a few more leaves formed I cut off the damaged leaves and haven't looked back. I haven't used nutes before a month since and haven't had the prob again. I know in hydro you have to put something in the water because there is no soil but you said you were already up to 900ppm, you didn't give their age but they look to young for that concentration....... Good luck, keep us posted.....

Hey, I had a couple of spots like that on my plants, also DWC. it turned up on a couple of leaves, but didn't spread, so I didn't pay it much attention. I also had a few leaves grow in cercals.

Sorry mate I can't help you there.

It is still hard not knowing the plants age but my guess would be to much nutes to soon. I would clean out the res. and run ph correct water only for a week and if it clears up start a slow increase in nutes. Like a quarter recommended strength. Can't hurt! In our zest for growing we want to hurry the nutes before it is ready. It is the most common mistake because we want them to be big and hopefully potent. Good luck keep us posted (no pun intended).
